The three men accused of murdering Ahmaud Arbery have plead not guilty. Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son, Travis, 34, were charged for murder and aggravated assault. William “Roddie” Bryn Jr., 50, was accused of murder and attempt to illegally detain and confine. No real surprise there.
Rep Ilhan Omar, D-Mogadishu, may be in trouble with her bid for reelection. Her Democratic primary opponent, Antone Melton-Meaux, has raised nearly 7 times the campaign cash. Add to that the revelation that her campaign has funneled nearly a million dollars into her husband’s company, and it’s very possible the Squad will be down at least one member come November.
More Florida covid reporting news popped recently. It seems that an individual was reported as a covid death after dying in a motorcycle accident.

Andy Cuomo issued yet another executive order. This time he says bars and restaurants can’t serve alcohol to patrons unless they order food. “The purpose of the requirement that food be sold with alcohol is to permit outside and limited indoor dining (outside of New York City), with alcoholic beverages, while restricting the congregating and mingling that arise in a bar service/drinking only environment,” the guidance says. Local bars have taken a snarky approach to compliance.
