In defiance of Gov. Murphy’s order, the owners of the Attilis gym in Bell Mawr NJ, reopened today.
Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti, the owners of the gym had previously been charged with one count of fourth-degree contempt, obstruction, and violation of disaster control act — both disorderly persons summons over their refusal to keep their gym closed.
The state had barricaded the doors to the gym, installing plywood, after the pair’s arrest in an attempt to keep the business closed.
Today Trumbetti and Smith removed the barricade and reopened the gym.

The pair admit they have no idea how long they’ll continue to keep the gym open before the state closes them down again.
