One of the three officers involved in the shooting of Breona Taylor has been indicted. No indictments have been announced for any of the other officers involved.
Officer Brett Hankison, who was fired earlier this year, was indicted on three counts of wanton endangerment in the first degree.
According to Kentucky law, A person is guilty of wanton endangerment in the first degree when, under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, he wantonly engages in conduct which creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person. Wanton endangerment in the first degree is a Class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

The indictment was announced 194 days after Taylor was shot five times by the officers who entered her home using a no-knock warrant during a narcotics investigation on March 13.
