Joe Biden’s surrogates and the media have been pushing the talking points that the Hunter Biden email scandal is Russian dezinformatsiya. They somehow posit that the computer repair shop owner had been manipulated by the FSB (Federal’naya Sluzhba Bezopasnosti, the federal security service, the KGB’s successor agency) or GRU (Glavnoye Razvedyvatelnoye Upravlenie, the main intelligence directorate of the Russian general staff, the Military intelligence agency) starting back in 2018 when he first received the laptops for repair.
That talking point was destroyed by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe today. During an appearance with Maria Bartiromo on Fox this morning Ratcliffe was asked about the possibility the laptops and emails were part of a Russian dezinformatsiya campaign.
So, Maria it’s funny that some of the people that complained the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing intelligence and unfortunately in this case, it is Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who as you pointed out on Friday said that the intelligence community believes that Hunter Biden’s laptop and e-mails on it are part of some Russian disinformation campaign.Let me be clear, the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that and we shared no intelligence with chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign, It’s simply not true.”
