Senate Democrats are planning another political stunt for tomorrow’s Judiciary committee vote on ACB. They’re planning on boycotting the hearing and placing posters of those they say will be “harmed” if Barrett is confirmed to the high Court. Unfortunately for them, the confirmation was a done deal as soon as Majority Leader Mitch McConnell decided the vote would happen.

The owners of Taste of Sicily restaurant in Lebanon PA just won in court. They had been fined in excess of $10k for reopening despite covid restrictions and charged criminally. The trial judge just threw out the charges and fines, saying that PA law was unclear as to whether the health department could issue the closure orders and that the department could not issue the criminal charges.


This one kind of irritates me. For the first time since 1965, the Peanuts specials “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will not be seen on broadcast TV. If you want to watch Lucy pick up the football, Snoopy dance or Linus drag his blanket around, you’ll have to have a subscription to Apple TV+.


Indonesia sank 51 fishing vessels that had been confiscated for fishing in Indonesian waters illegally. The Sunday sinkings were proceeded by a ceremonial burning of confiscated fishing nets. 31 of the vessels were Vietnamese and the remainder were Chinese, Philippine and Malaysian.




The World Series started last night. The Dodgers beat the Rays 8-3. The format is drastically different from any previous year, one location, no days off. Tonight’s first pitch is scheduled for 2008 eastern.
