Happy Hallowe’en

For everyone in the US outside of Arizona, Hawaii and Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, daylight savings time ends. Remember to set your clocks back an hour before you go to bed. And if you live in one of those places, fufu.

President Trump issued a proclamation naming November 1st a national day of mourning for those who lost their lives to illegal aliens. The proclamation reads in part:

On this National Day of Remembrance, we pause to honor the memory of every American life so egregiously taken from us by criminal illegal aliens. As sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, and as American citizens, these precious lives are an irreplaceable piece of our national community. We solemnly stand with their families — our Angel Families — who have endured what no American family should ever have to suffer. Today, we recommit to ensuring that those responsible for these tragedies face justice, while taking every action to prevent these horrific acts from occurring in our Nation. . .

While its difficult to pin down the exact number of deaths caused by illegal aliens, we do have an idea of how much crime they’re responsible for. Hans von Spakovsky writing for the Heritage Foundation spells it out.

Non-citizens constitute only about 7 percent of the U.S. population. Yet the latest data from the Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics reveals that non-citizens accounted for nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of all federal arrests in 2018. Just two decades earlier, only 37 percent of all federal arrests were non-citizens.

These arrests aren’t just for immigration crimes. Non-citizens accounted for 24 percent of all federal drug arrests, 25 percent of all federal property arrests, and 28 percent of all federal fraud arrests.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has just announced that starting Thursday, the entire country will go into a month-long Covid lockdown. The Brits join the French and Germans in locking back down after a surge in infections.

Justin Trudeau is a douchecanoe. He’s working on a promotion tho. He wants to be a douche frigate. Given his mealy-mouthed appeasement of islamic terrorism, he may just earn it.

OTTAWA (AFP) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau defended free speech on Friday (Oct 30), but added that it was “not without limits” and should not “arbitrarily and needlessly hurt” certain communities.

“We will always defend freedom of expression,” Mr Trudeau said in response to a question about the right to show a caricature of the Prophet Mohammed, as France’s Charlie Hebdo magazine did.

“But freedom of expression is not without limits,” he added. “We owe it to ourselves to act with respect for others and to seek not to arbitrarily or unnecessarily injure those with whom we are sharing a society and a planet.”

Nothing like a little victim-shaming there Justin to go with the appeasement.
