TSA agents at Dulles got a surprise recently. They found a “live” smoke grenade in a passengers checked bag. The passenger said he thought it was inert and had purchased it at a surplus store years ago. No word on whether he was charged or not.
Cocaine Mitch has pushed back normal Senate floor business because of the WuFlu. “On Monday, I intend to obtain a consent agreement for the Senate to meet in pro forma sessions for the next two weeks. Previously-scheduled floor activity will be rescheduled until after October 19th,” McConnell released Saturday in a statement, “The important work of the Senate’s committees can and will continue as each committee sees fit. The Senate Judiciary Committee will convene on October 12th as Chairman Graham has scheduled to begin confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court. The Senate’s floor schedule will not interrupt the thorough, fair, and historically supported confirmation process previously laid out by Chairman Graham.”
That’s a power move by Mitch. It limits the options for the Dems to delay and obstruct the confirmation process.
The Michigan Supreme Court slapped down Gauleiter governor Gretchen Whitmer and her executive orders this week. They declared her orders unconstitutional and went so far to strike down one of the laws she based her powers on. Of course she lashed out at the decision. She claims her orders will stand for at least 21 days, despite the court vacating them.

The fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh continues. The Artsahk (the armenian name for Nagorno-Karabakh) defense ministry says they’ve lost around 198 people including at least 11 civilians. The Azeris have not released any casualty figures, but the Armenians claim to have killed around 200 Azerbaijani troops. More concerning are the reports of Syrian mercenaries on the Azeri side. These mercs come from Turkish backed jihadi groups in northern Syria.
