News is breaking out of Austria, where there are reports of a gunman opening fire at a synagogue in the capitol city of Vienna. The austrian interior ministry has said that at least one person was killed and several more were injured.
Reports say the attack was on the street that houses the city’s main synagogue. Other media reported shots fired in the area of a nearby square, Schwedenplatz. The gunman was reported to still be on the loose.

Update 1630 eastern:
There are allegedly 3 shooters, one confirmed fatality and several serious injuries. At least one of the seriously injured now reported to be a police officer.
