Today’s featured image is of Mount Marcy. Mount Marcy is the highest point in New York, with an elevation of 5,344 feet. It is located in the Town of Keene in Essex County.
There are reports saying the president is planning on a major troop drawdown in both Iraq and Afghanistan. It seems a warning order has been issued, reducing the footprint in each country to 2,500. That would be about half of the estimated 5,000 or so US troops in each country right now.
Hurricane Iota, the 30th named storm and 13th hurricane is bearing down on Central America. Its expected to make landfall on Nicaragua some time this evening as a category 4 storm, with sustained winds over 160 mph.
Here’s something interesting out of Michigan. Several republican lawmakers in that state capitol are talking about impeachment for Gauleiterin Frau Whitmer. I have no idea where it’s going, or when, other than it won’t happen until after the new legislature gets seated in January.
I’m not sure what to make of this, but I’ve seen it in several places, all with different (albeit anonymous) sourcing, so there may be something to it. Anyway, rumor is President Trump is looking into creating a media company when his term is up. Another rumor I’ve heard that’s related is he’s looking to either buy-in to, or buy outright, NewsMax. We all know Fox news has taken a hard left turn of late, and their ratings have taken a hit because of it. NewsMax has picked up quite a few of the eyes that have left Fox. Time will tell. . . .
