The Tiger King is more important to Nancy Pelosi and the House Dems than covid relief. She’s called the House back to vote on legislation banning private ownership of big cats.
Mike Garcia has won re-election to the House from California’s 25th district. Garcia won a special election in May after Katie “Throuple” Hill resigned in disgrace. That makes it a net gain of 11 seats for the GOP in the House with one race still to be called. It’s also the 4th seat flipped in California.
The race in NY 22 is the one left to be called and there’s some news. Claudia Tenney is currently up by 12 votes over democrat Anthony Brindisi. There have been all kinds of shenanigans in the race for the House in my district, and it’s just breaking that 55 ballots that hadn’t previously been counted just appeared. Of the 55, 11 are invalid, but in a race with this small of a margin. . . .
The impeachment push continues. This time its Ohio. The Republican governor there, Mike DeWine has succumbed to his inner Mussolini over the Chinese lung AIDS and the Republican controlled state legislature has had enough. Rep. John Beckers, along with three other lawmakers, filed 12 articles of impeachment against the governor on Monday, arguing “contempt for the rule of law must end.”
This follows articles of impeachment being filed against Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer within the past few weeks.
