Former OMB Director Starts Think Tank to Further Trump’s ‘America First’ Agenda

On January 26, Russ Vought, the former acting Director of the OMB announced the formation of Center for American Restoration. The Center will focus on the traditional values of God, country, and community.
“I think right now, it’s important to reflect on where we are as a country and realize we’re incredibly divided, and the status quo is certainly not something that we can defend and conserve anymore.”
In making his announcement, he said;
Trump’s presidency was “the first real counter assault to the left in decades, by a champion who had the stomach and the strength to sustain the withering fire of his adversaries.”
He is expecting much of the initial focus to be defending against the Biden extreme agenda.
“The Biden administration is going to give us many opportunities, unfortunately, to have to confront and provide accountability to the federal government immediately, whether that’s us needing to block his amnesty proposals or his nominees that are, quite frankly, out of the mainstream,
We hope to give voice to the common, forgotten men and women across this great country, possessed with extraordinary intuition, who work hard, pay their taxes, and attempt to raise their families in healthy communities.”
The agenda is broad including issues such as eliminating “cancel culture,” promoting pro-life, restoring election integrity, pushing for immigration integrity, treating China as the predominant national security threat, and advocating for a smaller government. He is hoping to provide a place for grassroots activists. Speaking about that group, he said;
“To be able to provide a place for activism to be safe, and to be targeted and strategic, and to really be able to advance both our ideas to restore the consensus in this country,”
It certainly sounds nice; however, most of the quotes have a bit of the standard political word salad.
In doing a very quick search, I was unable to find funding for the organization. I did find;
