Drinking Lemon-Honey Water for 30 Days

8 Amazing Benefits of Drinking Lemon-Honey Water in the Morning for 30 Days

Not all of us are lucky enough to be able to spring out of bed in the morning, throw open the shutters, and sing with the birds. Some of us need a helping hand, but coffee is not necessarily the answer. At least not as your first drink of the day!

Consider lemon-and-honey water. Besides being a wonderful way to cleanse your system after waking up, this drink has numerous health benefits and could even yield eight astounding changes if you drink it every day for 30 days or more.

Lemons contain an impressive amount of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and antioxidants. A quarter cup of lemon juice even satisfies 31 percent of our daily Vitamin C needs. And high-quality honey is rich in antioxidants, plus it’s undeniably delicious.

So, here goes; inspired by TipHero, here are eight compelling reasons to start your day with a tasty lemon-and-honey beverage:

5. Warning: You might become a “morning person!”

Both your energy and your mood will get a boost as lemon eliminates toxins in the body. BrightSide noted a measurable shift in mood after drinking lemon water in the morning for 30 days straight. “Morning hours really started to grow on me!” their spokesperson shared.

6. You can say goodbye to urinary tract infections

Lemon-honey water is a mild diuretic, so it will cleanse your renal system and may even prevent the horrible torment of kidney stones. If you mix a little fresh ginger into your drink, it will also act as an anti-inflammatory.

7. You can also say goodbye to bad breath

By drinking lemon water in the morning, your oral health will improve. Although to protect your tooth enamel, it’s advisable to drink lemon water through a straw. Not to mention, if you like your lemon water iced, a straw will gently protect sensitive teeth!

8. Your skin will clear up

Ever lusted after a “natural glow?” Well, it could be yours. Blackheads and pimples are likely to reduce and may even become a thing of the past. According to dermatologists, lemon water can help smooth wrinkles by protecting against free radicals, too.

Delicious lemon-and-honey water can be enjoyed at whichever temperature you prefer; the health benefits are the same. For a hot beverage, use a third of a cup of boiling water to dissolve the honey, then top up with filtered cool water to achieve a perfectly soothing, warm drinking temperature.

For a refreshing cold drink, watch the short video above for an easy, taste-bud-tingling recipe. If you’re feeling experimental, try lemon and cucumber, lemon and mint, or lemon and fresh ginger for a variation on the flavor sensation.

Great health never tasted so good!

Comment: This article is from 2019; however, I thought this would be an excellent re-post. Most of us feel a bit less than energetic, coming in to the spring time, after the inactivity of our winter hibernation. This year, more so than in years past; due to the lock down measures. Take the time to give your system a good cleanser, to rejuvenate and the lemon and honey is one of the best. Try to purchase local honey, which provides the best regional antioxidants. I prefer to alternate honey and maple syrup. This really is one of the least expensive and most beneficial cleansers I have tried and generally opt to start the cleanser once the warmer weather is here to stay.
