I can honestly say I did not see this coming. The official Ford’s Theater National Parks Service twitter account went full woke with a tweet about the 16th President who was assasinated there.
More complex or realistic way to think about him? There have been more books written about Abraham Lincoln than any other former President. Those books have run the gamut from glowing hagiography to little more than traducing screeds.
The irony of Ford’s theater attempting to assasinate Lincoln’s character is not lost on me. Nor is it lost on many twitter users.
Could that be the reason? More woke BS. . .
