Old boots and fishing

Once showed one of our own a picture of my work boots, the reply was something as this

” ohh my GAWD and you call yourself Marine!”

not my boots but you get the idea

A little story before the purpose of this posting , as kid about 7/8 years of age I got new boots, what do kids do with new boots….. well ya test them out in the nearest mud hole which I did. Next thing I heard ” GET IN HERE !” Mother had me at the table with some scissors while she had a pile of cardboard with some patterns of the left left & right foot. She had me cut 6 pair out. That’s what dad would stick in his boots before heading out on the water.

I’ve never forgotten that

My work boots are comfy and built to work function over style every time

I see BRANDON finally got his boat parade off Long Beach

you can wear old boots , you can even watch an old teevee but what about your dinner.. ohh… well that’s sitting on a boat ROTTING away , well that’s not a good thing

Here’s an old boot, his name is Gerard Raymond

now 97, a U.S. Army Veteran that served during WWII from March 11, 1943 to March 16, 1946. Gerard fought in England, France, Holland, Germany and Austria. He also fought at the Battle of the Bulges!

Gerard was a Tanker in the 8th Armored Division, 88th Recon Company, E Troop. He was in an M8 tank firing 75 Howitzers. Gerard has trouble hearing most conversations due to the loud nature of firing/ operating a tank and requires hearing aids.

Although he could tell you what he had for lunch every day, one of his most vivid memories is going to Hitler’s eagle nest after the war ended. He remembers his building in the Austrian mountains, having an elevator to his bedroom. He recounts seeing a rug on Hitler’s bedroom floor that had apparently been chewed by Hitler after his
suspected loss of mental faculties.

The growing season in the North has come to and end this year, but there many farmers in other states still producing American food. You can now read about food shortages in America thanks to the Commieratbastards.

These people here are good people who do good for America and not with just food

They help Veterans, young and old alike

Brandin is a 173rd Airborne Army Veteran. He served in Afghanistan in the Korangal Valley From ’08-’12

Thier products change with what’s in season and they like to take Veterans out fishing which is not getting cheap these days

more to fishing than catching a fish

here’s a poem that was in the wheelhouse of the fish tug

I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord’s great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be judged
Big enough to keep.

How bad is it out there?
