Ya know Truckies, if you would take this route

you would be greeted with smiles and ice cold beer with plenty of bonfires to rest and relax before you encounter the sceney stretch, a desolate, foreboding place to drive through, even the animals know not to venture in there, but i’ll understand if you don’t. While on your journey , if you spot my cousins up around the WAWA say Boozhoo for me, I’ll thank you upfront & straight away

Traffic delays are expected when Freedom Convoy rolls into Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday evening. The cross-country expedition, bound for Ottawa from British Columbia, is protesting the federal government’s requirement for COVID-19 vaccinations for any truckers entering Canada.

The convoy is scheduled to leave Thunder Bay at 7 a.m. Thursday. The Weather Network forecasts a mix of sun and clouds to start Thursday with a 30 per cent chance of snow in Thunder Bay.

An hour-long stop in Wawa is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. with a 7 p.m. arrival at Flying J Travel Centre.

When Freedom Convoy actually arrives in the Sault on Thursday evening is hard to pinpoint, said Sault Ste. Marie Police Service spokesperson Lincoln Louttit. Departure time and travel conditions will impact when the demonstrators arrive.

Freedom Convoy is expected to follow the truck route, travelling from Great Northern Road to Second Line East, Black Road and Trunk Road. Possible stops include Flying J on Great Northern and Esso Travel Centre on Trunk Road.

Residents are encouraged by police to steer clear of Freedom Convoy.

“Hopefully they’re able to find alternate routes to their destination to avoid any potential delay,” said Louttit of motorists who must get somewhere.

A release said there will be “a significant police presence” to “monitor traffic flow and ensure public safety.”

How police will respond is to be determined.
