Daja vu

Was a day long ago, looking just like this yesterday out over the lake, look close you see can an ore carrier seeking safe harbor.

Dad was out there somewhere heading as well, telescopes and binoculars, every one of the boys,we all had our own, looking for the fishtug. Was probably the first time I heard ” what the fuck was that” uttered by one of my brothers. A blue ball of pure energy came through the front window, caught the corner of a end table, that was on the fire, went through the living room, the phone on the wall of archway entry into the kitchen was melted, it went up through kitchen ceiling left a about 2/3 foot burn in it. The smell of burnt electricity hung heavy in the air for a couple hours. Every hair on your body was standing up with the feeling of being shinged. Couple of us ran up to the attic checking for fire, just more burn marks. Found myself yesterday stepping to the right of the window you know, just to safe (r).

Just imagine, looking out there an seeing a long boat, as it draws nearer, you can make out singing

My mother told me
Someday I would buy
Galleys with good oars
Sail to distant shores
Stand up on the prow
Noble barque I steer
Steady course to the haven
Hew many foe-men
Hew many foe-men

Your first thought would probably be…. well there goes peace & quiet, grab your gear.

On the lighter side of Life, I had to stop taking her to stores that sold antiques, she get into heated conversations over something being antique. I told I was going light a candle asked where she had put matches since their not in thier normal spot, ” in the cabinet over there waving her hand”, just for fun I went to Ebay, I could be rich beyond mounds of Everest, I don’t want to be rich, I just want to light a candle. She has like 12 of these packages with a pile of Blue Diamond boxes.

I refilled the cast iron stick match dispenser

what some some people call vintage which is younger than Antique

we call everyday stuff.

she’s not a hoarder

I prefer the term Prepper, sounds more modern.
