The USAF shot down an unidentified object flying at around 40,000 feet over Prudhoe bay Alaska today.
Several sharp eyed OSINT twitter accounts noticed an odd airspace closure around the Prudhoe bay area and a KC-135 doing laps just onshore in the closure area.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby confirmed an object had been shot down, stating it posed a threat to civil air traffic.
