Chairman, Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) of the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Thursday, questioned former Sec. John Kerry about the State Department’s climate budget.
Former, Senator Kerry took offense at having to provide the names of his staff and eventually refused to do so; aside from acknowledging that he reports directly to President Biden.
Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) pressed Senator Kerry to ask China in the upcoming 2023 Climate Summit COP 28 in November to change their self designation from a developing nation. Sen. Kerry responded by saying ‘that’s not going to happen’.
So, we are all left wondering who is assigned to work with Senator Kerry?, how much is their budget?, what is their mandate? what authority do they hold? What an appropriate name – the Climate Czar!
