There’s a bunch of stuff going on today, but nothing that warrants a separate article. So, here are some random items presented for your perusal.
First up, the IDF has neutralized the animal that was parading around with the dead body of Shani Louk. You may recall Shani was a German-Israeli woman who was taken from the Nova music festival on October 7.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. . .
As most of you know, this editor is an inmate resident of the People’s Republic of New York. As such, I pay relatively close attention to the NY political scene. Today George Santos, R-LI, announced he will not be seeking re-election to the House of Representatives. Santos is currently under indictment for campaign finance violations and is facing several House ethics complaints.
There has been an arrest made in the death of a pro-Israeli man in California. Moorpark College professor Loay Alnaji was arrested early Thursday morning by deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Paul Kessler. Kessler was at a pro-Israel rally in Thousand Oaks California when he was struck on the head with a megaphone by Alnaji and fell, striking his head on the curb. He died several hours later at the hospital.
In a disturbing turn of events, there seems to be widespread approval of a letter from Osama bin Laden among a certain segment of the US population. Bin Laden’s “Letter to America” has been available online for about 21 years. It attacks the U.S. and explains his reasoning behind the 9/11 attacks.
Over the past 24 hours, thousands of TikToks (at least) have been posted where people share how they just read Bin Laden’s infamous "Letter to America," in which he explained why he attacked the United States.

The TikToks are from people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Many of them say that reading the letter has opened their eyes, and they’ll never see geopolitical matters the same way again. Many of them — and I have watched a lot — say it has made them reevaluate their perspective on how what is often labeled as terrorism can be a legitimate form of resistance to a hostile power. This is not limited to TikTok; similar videos have been posted on other social media platforms.
To be honest, if my kid started spouting this nonsense, I’d seriously consider a post-birth abortion for him.
In a case of turn about is fair play the union representing the field workers for NEA has voted to go on strike. Apparently they think they aren’t getting paid enough and the union refuses to move on that in their negotiations. It looks like the AFL-CIO is looking at the same issue in a few weeks when that contract comes up.
A little known provision in the monstrosity that is the 2021 Infrastructure act requires car manufactures to include “advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology” as “standard equipment” in vehicles. The provision requires such technology to “passively monitor the performance of a driver” and “prevent or limit motor vehicle operation if an impairment is detected.” Yeah, Nah. Thomas Massie, R-KY, introduced an amendment to the CR that would repeal that mandate. It failed.
During debate last night on my amendment to defund the 2026 kill-switch mandate for cars, some Democrats claimed the technology wouldn’t monitor or disable cars. Here’s the actual law I had to read to them:

Do yourself, and everyone else a favor and call your representative and let them know that the ‘kill-switch’ needs to go. If you don’t know your particular Rep’s phone number, you can find it, and all their other contact information at this link.
