Homemade Doggie Ice Cream

Found this recipe that looks as though Bowser (just a generic name I came up with) would enjoy it like crazy. Ice cream that dogs can eat, and you don’t have to worry about the ingredients being toxic, so long as you make sure that there is no xylitol or birch.

Ingredients:

1 ripened banana
1/2 cup of all natural peanut butter
1 cup plain, natural yogurt
1 teaspoon honey

Heat the peanut butter on the stove or in the microwave until it is easy to stir.
Mash the banana, mix in the yogurt and add the honey, then stir in the peanut butter.
Pour the mixture into doggie treat serving size freezer safe containers and then put them in the freezer for several hours – at least six.

Feed a treat to your pooch every now and then.
