Last Friday, 6 September, a Minnesota NG unit was awarded several unit citations. The 1-194th Armor was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for actions in and around Kabul during the retreat from Afghanistan. The PUC is the highest unit award. TF Bastard also received the Meritorious Unit Citation and the Superior Unit Award.
Governor Tim Walz is the titular Commander in Chief for the Minnesota Guard. Yet, he couldn’t be bothered to show up for the ceremony and has yet to even acknowledge the awards.
This is just one more example of why Tim Walz has no business being in elected office.
