Random News and Notes 2 October

G’mar chatima tova and tzom kal to all our Jewish friends. We wish you peace and renewal this Yom Kippur.

Unfortunately, there is sad news to report regarding the Day of Atonement. There was a terror attack at a synagogue in Manchester, England. At least two are dead and several more have been hospitalized with severe injuries. An apparently muslim man drove into the crowd gathered outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue ran over several people and then got out and started stabbing anyone he could.

Armed police – a rarity in England – arrived and shot the attacker. It also seems that he was wearing a homicide vest. It is being reported that the bomb squad detonated the device.

Two Tier Keir and the Muslim Brotherhood Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan sent their condolences. They know what they can do with those. . .

The so-called Global Sumud Flotilla came to an ignominious end yesterday. The boats in the flotilla entered Israeli waters and were quickly intercepted by the Israeli Navy.

If you had any questions about the motivations of those involved, this should put them to rest:

. . .instead to throw plastic into the ocean, with a grand total of three cans of food to “save the Palestinian people and break the siege.”
I’m not sure whether they’re worse at saving the planet or the Palestinians.

Can’t wait for the next one. . .

It’s day two of the Shumer Shutdown. While there is little progress to report on, there are memes and other trolling.

The Dems had a livestream about the Shumer Shutdown on YouTube. It went about as well as you might expect. It was so bad they lost a Politico writer. And of course the White House picked up on that fact:

I’d be willing to bet the majority of the viewers were either ‘journalists’ or congressional staffers.

Then there was this:

It is example 19847423655532 that the Dems can’t meme. It’s so bad, the GOP is now making fun of it.
