Nicholas Maduro Captured

The President announced the capture of Venezuelan strongman Nicholas Maduro this morning. The successful operation targeted Caracas military sites, including Fuerte Tiuna, La Carlota airport, and La Guaira port.

The strike comes after months of U.S. pressure including naval quarantines and strikes on drug vessels.

Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been indicted in the Southern District of New York. Nicolas Maduro has been charged with Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States. The couple are aboard the USS Iwo Jima and are bound for New York to face the charges.
