Random News and Notes 12 January

The DOJ has opened a criminal investigation into Fed chair Jerome Powell. He is being accused of lying to Congress regarding the $3 billion + reno of the Fed headquarters. Subpoenas have already gone out to Powell himself and to the Fed as an agency. Powell being a whiny b*tch immediately ran to the nearest camera and released a statement. Watch:

For those who can’t be bothered to watch, Powell – whose term as Fed chair ends in April – claims the investigation is an attempt to intimidate him and force changes in monetary policy. He makes the ridiculous claim that “The threat of criminal charges is a consequence of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our best assessment of what will serve the public, rather than following the preferences of the President.”

No Jerome, the investigation is a consequence of you lying to Congress about the shady shit you’re pulling regarding the renovation of the DC headquarters buildings of the Federal Reserve. You don’t have enough time left in your term for this to be anything else.

There are rumors swirling that the retard running Minnesota is about to resign because of the fraud scandal rocking that state. Several outlets and individuals are saying they have heard Tim Walz is going to resign.

Whether that is true or not is unknown at this point. Rest assured, if it happens it will be covered here.

Ok, now that you watched here’s my commentary. Vato is lucky he’s still vertical. Taking a shooting stance like that, especially in the low light situation we see above, is a really, really good way to find yourself with a couple of extra holes in your body. The officers there were remarkably restrained. At least at first.

There is a segment cut out of that video, but homie takes out his phone and then tries to enter the building. It picks up as he is being ejected. Forcefully.

At that point he takes several – like 10 – pepper balls to the face, head and neck. One looks like it directly impacted his ear canal. These aren’t gel style balls, they are the ones filled with oleoresin capsicum powder. The gel balls are typically lighter and somewhat easier to break. The powder balls are designed to be shot at hard surfaces for area denial.

I will say this, he’s remarkably unbothered after being shot the f*ck up with pepper balls at close range. I suppose the old truism holds, if you’re going to be dumb you have to be tough. Then again, he may have just been in shock. His eyes did look a bit glassy and unfocused.

Now, there is a reason he thought he could get away with it. It is the same reason Renee Good is now at room temperature on a slab instead of abusing the one kid she managed to retain custody of. They never faced the full consequences of their actions.
