THOR’s Day

Sippin a coffee, still cannot open the backdoor at the house, doesn’t get a lot of sun back there because of tall Elms and Oak trees. One of first things I did when the house became mine, I swapped out the sump pump. Remember thinkin while in the hole, I thought dad knew everything, no, no he didn’t, he just didn’t like paying others for something he could himself. Could be why ma said, on a few occasions, you remind me much of your father. I never said anything, just looked at her while having a coffee.

Above the bridge, rain fell on a landscape still loaded with snow, creating a runoff surge that’s swelling already-full river systems. Warmer temperatures are expected to further melt a huge snowpack as multiple rounds of new rain and thunderstorms increase the flood threat this week.

The weather service warned that up to half of the deepest snow remaining in the U.P. could melt, and minor to moderate flooding should be expected for at least the next seven days.
