Today’s musical selection got it’s title and overall storyline from a massive British anti-drug raid. Operation Julie was a landmark mid-1970s UK police investigation that smashed two massive, interconnected drug rings producing up to 90% of the world’s supply of LSD. The Clash wrote and recorded “Julie’s in the Drug Squad” for the 1978 album Give ’em Enough Rope.
