• 1521 – Hernan Cortes captures the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan and sets it on fire. The Aztec capital held for three months of siege before it fell.
• 1680 – The Pueblo revolt starts. Led by Po’pay, the Pueblo peoples rebelled against harsh Spanish rule and established the Pueblo republic, the first pan-Pueblo sovereign polity.
• 1787 – The Ottoman Empire declares war on Russia in an attempt to regain lost territories. It was an abject failure. The Ottomans lost as many as 200,000 troops to the 50,000 Russian losses.
• 1862 – Nathan Bedford Forrest defeats a Union army under Thomas Crittenden at Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
• 1889 – The first coin-operated telephone is patented by William Gray.
• 1963 – A 17 year-old Buddhist monk burns himself to death in Saigon, South Vietnam.
• 1978 – Bomb attack in Beirut during Second Lebanese Civil War kills more than 150 people.

We start today’s news with yet another China related story. This time it involves backchannel meetings between senior US officials and Chinese nuclear weapons officials. The meetings were held with personnel from the blacklisted China Academy of Engineering Physics. U.S. participants included ex-Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen, former Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, and ex-Sen. Sam Nunn, discussing nuclear command systems, fail-safes, and crisis management. Investigative reporter Natalie Winters uncovered the meetings.

This is really troublesome. These people need security clearances revoked alongside their passports so they cannot do this again.

There is some news out of Maine today regarding the Dem Senate candidate. It seems Troy Jackson is more than a cousin f*cker, he’s a domestic abuser. Newly uncovered documents show that Jackson physically attacked his cousin/lover/baby momma and that she was scared enough that she told the responding cops that she planned to file for a protective order.

Sorry, but this is kinda funny. First the Porta-Nazi Platner and now the cousin f*cker/assaulter. The Dems are screwed.

I cannot recall if I reported on the criminal charges the CFO for the SPLC is facing or not. That news broke a day or two ago. Regardless, CFO Heidi Beirich faces charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to submit false statements to federally insured banks, and conspiracy to conceal money laundering. Bad right? It gets worse. Heidi was also shacking up with a neo-nazi and funneling the illicit cash to him.

Grievance Inc. is a scam and always has been. I really hope she winds up in the pen for this. After rolling on some of the other SPLC dirtbags that is.

This broke just as I was getting ready to publish. A 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit the San Francisco bay area at 0830 PDT this morning. The epicenter was in San Leandro.

No word on any damage or injuries at this point, but I don’t expect any given the magnitude of this quake.
