We start the news with a visit to the MVAP sports desk. Kinda. The Mets and Yankees met at Yankee Stadium last night in the Yankee home portion of this year’s Subway Series. It was the second time the teams have met on 9/11, the first being in 2021 at Citi Field in Queens. While the event is important enough to get at least a mention in this space, that isn’t the emphasis here. Some retard ran out on the field last night covered in a Palestinian flag. The intrusion happened in the top of the seventh inning. The entire stadium started chanting “USA” while he was being chased around the outfield.
Said retard was identified as 38-year-old Kelly Marcucci of Long Island. He wore a ‘No Kings’ jersey under the flag, After stadium security and NYPD officers tackled him, fans threw beer cans at him as he was escorted out.
Police have charged him with trespassing and interfering with the event. The Yankees won 6-4 on homers from Cody Bellinger and Ben Rice.
This one bothers me on several levels. Ayanle Mohamed Siad, 61, son of Somalia’s former leader Mohamed Siad Barre, has lived in Columbus, Ohio, since his father’s 1991 downfall. Ayanle, once called his father Mohamed Siad Barre’s right-hand man during the regime’s brutal final years, settled in the Ohio suburb with his wife and son. He and his sister Deka, a former regime minister, ran businesses like translation services and a home health care firm that received over $1.8 million in Medicare payments before it closed in 2021.

There was a train derailment in France last night. A regional passenger train traveling from Rouen to Caen derailed near Cléon, France, Friday evening after reportedly striking an object on the tracks. 186 passengers were aboard. At least 44 people were injured, including an 18-year-old woman who was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital. One carriage overturned and several others derailed. Investigators reportedly discovered a piece of rail on the tracks that may have caused the derailment.
Police are investigating the incident as possible sabotage after the train, traveling at around 140 km/h (87 mph), hit a piece of rail deliberately placed on the tracks. The driver tested negative for alcohol and drugs.

A Colorado evidence technician has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after she admitted to falsifying DNA test records dating back to 2008. Yvonne “Missy” Woods, a 66-year-old former Colorado Bureau of Investigation DNA analyst, pleaded guilty to four felonies including forgery and perjury for deleting or altering DNA evidence in 1,045 cases. Her misconduct affected over 400 sexual assaults, including those of a 4-year-old girl and an 88-year-old woman, leading to one vacated murder conviction and multiple reopened investigations.
Judge Andrew Poland called it intentional betrayal of public trust. She was apparently caught when an intern noticed what she was doing.
Sabrina Messa, a Canadian national living in LA just got her Syrupean ass deported after she posted content mocking the September 10, 2025, shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a Utah Valley University debate. U.S. authorities revoked her visa under a Trump administration policy targeting foreign nationals who celebrated or mocked the killing.
Messa expressed frustration, blaming internet trolls, and plans to depart Monday with her sister alongside at least six others previously removed for similar activity.
