• 1066 – English King Harald Godwinson defeats an invading Norse force led by King Harald Hardrada and the English king’s brother Tostig Godwinson.
• 1396 – The last great Christian crusade, led jointly by John the Fearless of Nevers and King Sigismund of Hungary, ends in disaster at the hands of Sultan Bayezid I’s Ottoman army at Nicopolis.
• 1598 – In Sweden, King Sigismund is defeated at Stangebro by his uncle Charles.
• 1775 – British troops capture Ethan Allen, the hero of Ticonderoga, when he and a handful of Americans try to invade Canada.
• 1798 – The first Congress of the United States approves 12 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, and sends them to the states for ratification. Ten of the twelve would be ratified.
• 1804 – The 12th Amendment is ratified, changing the procedure of choosing the president and vice-president.
• 1915 – An allied offensive is launched near Loos and in Artois, Belgium, against the German Army. The British military deployed large quantities of chlorine gas against German lines for the first time.

We start the news with a story out of Maine that amuses me. Troy Jackson, the cousinf*cker running for US Senate there, seems to have been kicked out of a Facebook group dedicated to getting him elected. Jackson got the boot after members decided his replies were so insulting they couldn’t possibly have come from their candidate.

Funneh right? Anyway. Jackson who replaced the Porta-Nazi Platner, is trailing Susan Collins in the latest polling in Maine. This crap isn’t going to help him much.

Every accusation is an admission. I’m sure you’ve seen that sentiment elsewhere, even if it is expressed slightly differently.

Well, the Wisconsin Dems are guilty of just that. After years of calling President Trump a pdf and Republicans pdf protectors we find out that Diego A. Rodriguez, the vice-chair of the Democrat Party of Wisconsin’s Latino Caucus and campaign manager for Democrat Assembly member Priscilla Prado, is a convicted sex offender. Rodriguez was convicted of having sex with teenage boys while working as a church youth pastor, as well as of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime after he tried to meet up with a teenage boy on the gay dating app Grindr. That teenage boy was actually an undercover officer. After the story went public, Rodriguez was fired by both the Wisconsin Democrats and Prado’s campaign.

It gets worse. The Dems were planning to run this guy for state assembly but did not because they found out he was a kiddy diddler some 8 months ago. In other words, the Wisconsin Dems knew this guy was a pdf for 8 months and kept him around. He only got fired because it got out.

With all apologies to our resident Canadian, regardless of what Mark Carney or the fat fucks in the Canadian military command say, if the US decides to invade, you are not pulling a Taliban. For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, Carney gave an interview to the NYT in which he described reviewing contingency plans in case the US invaded. Canadian military planners have modeled hypothetical U.S. invasions, considering tactics like ambushes, sabotage, and drones similar to those in Afghanistan.

Your editor has some small store of learning and experience regarding what the mil planners are describing. The US Army spent much time and money to teach him. The guerilla tactics in/by Canada are a pipe dream. Unlike the Afghans, Canada does not have a history of military resistance. What’s more, the Canadian government has spent the last 20 years disarming the Canadian public.
