A U.S. Navy Sailor reunites with a loved one during the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) homecoming in San Diego, Oct. 8, 2026. Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), the flagship of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3, returns to its homeport of San Diego following 10 months of operations in the U. S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations. An integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the region and provides realistic, relevant training necessary to execute our Navy’s role across the full spectrum of military operations – from combat operations to humanitarian assistance and disaster response. U. S. 3rd Fleet works together with allies and partners to advance freedom of navigation and overflight, the rule of law, and other principles that underpin security in the region. Air Force

Coast Guard

The U.S. Coast Guard searched for three people and a dog after a vessel was sighted maneuvering in circles with no people on board, near Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, Oct. 3-4, 2026.
