  • ODIN is not happy

    ODIN is not happy

Good place to use a fancy word, I swear there are days i feel like a chronicler.

So be it, I’ve shared the dog named Odin, Mastiff/lab. He’s rather protective of his human. Going back just a couple of years ago, 3 maybe 4, I was at the smithies dropping off a leather apron, this young fella was there getting twisted rod iron for gate. So you do leather he asked, I dabble with it. Not long after I did a “pancake” for him, Then I told him, I’m done with “pancakes” for a while, thanks to you. Fast forward to yesterday, I get this call, my standard opening on any phone is ” what now”. I recognized his voice, no time pancake, no time, I got a motorhead asking when his wallet it’s gonna be done, pancake , trust me, you won’t be the first hung up on.

Nothing like that, how you feel about keeping an eye on Odin for a few days?.

    What’s up

” Well, I made his human cry”

pancake, God counts a woman’s tears and he keeps a scorecard of such things, what did you do?

    I’ll send video,

Pancake, when you need me keep eye on Odin, probably springtime or probably soon after opening day of trout season he says

Then he says, Odin and me, get along for the most part, I don’t want Odin anywhere near when were doin the 20 toes, I want to be doing 20 toes not fighting the dog to get a chunk of my ass back.

All is not lost, not when you see things as that

Pancake, how much land you got” ” 60 acres with a deer camp”

    that’s a good starter home

” yea we’re thinking off grid”

He hung up, I went back to the Barge’s glue while thinking

When the smile of one Woman excites you more than the nudity of others

They were down by Madison’s gap, never heard of eh, well, it’s southeast of the marshes, somewhat southwest of the cedar swamp. Not far from Eagle harbor

It’s only January, already tired of Canada’s crap

I don’t know if you know this so I’ll tell ya anyways. Those Canaknuckleheads been sending thier crappy weather across my lake as long as I remember, and I have a G’damn good memory. They’ve gone full castro up there, using horses to stomp indian women, legalized murder under the guise of healthcare. Staying on topic just venturing off a tad, that Austrian -anti-freedom mf who likes maids has bought the tank he drove while in the Austrian. I wonder if ATF has a problem with that. Yes, I want a tank, what for some may ask,. What the hell does one do with a tank, run shit over, and blow stuff up at gravel pit.

Stuff you may not know, I HATE paperwork, now you know.

Canada, you have any idea the kind of PAPERWORK I’d have to submit to get a A-10 WARTHOG.

‘Super pigs’ from Canada could soon invade US

Super pigs were bred to survive Canadian winters, so they are hearty animals, growing to more than 600 pounds. They eat goslings and ducklings by the mouthful. They uproot and destroy crops. They can even bring down full-grown deer.

Despite its popularity, recreational hog hunting seems to be making the problem worse. The pigs are adapting by turning nocturnal, which makes them harder to track and remove.

One way game wardens hunt the beasts is to put GPS tracking collars on subdued hogs. Called “Judas pigs,” the collared hog leads wardens back to their dens, where the animals are “removed from the environment.”

Geo-tracking put one hog less than 10 miles from the U.S. border. Brook told Field and Stream he wouldn’t be surprised if wild pigs have crossed over into North Dakota already. There is no real physical or natural boundary between the U.S. and Canada in that area, so it’s just a matter of time before the hogs head south.

Thinking back to some cowboys I met in Ardmore Oklahoma, just so ya know

Blue Pig BBQ has great BBQ! we was discussing fishing, out at his ranch as far as you could see, every fencepost had a head of a catfish on it.

view this as a commercial break

I don’t see one damn thing that could be construed as romantical

Taking a cue from those fishing cowboys, I could attach pigheads to the trees, just imagine the look on those city people have the bright idea to head to the country-side when the food runs out, to take food and things from those already living there, seeing painted up pig skulls, 🙂

Coming back with an empty basket in the am, I don’t view it as a bad day of trapping, I got be to out there, it’s a good place to leave negative thinking. Replaced with positive for the day is young.

Lots of positive to be seen here

i need coffee to calm down

People should drink less coffee to combat climate change, study says

Canadian researchers analyzed coffee’s “contribution to climate change” in a piece published in early January and suggested people moderate their consumption of the popular drink as a part of the solution.

    I have a solution alright.

First, I’ll share some insight, when losing something it can be troublesome at times, (don’t care) then one notices after a fashion, something was gained, it’s like the neuro-net found a way to fire all up the cylinders once again, maybe not in the proper order, but they are firing. It’s like I see words instantly, words that’s been said ages ago or recently.

With long winters, not much to do besides make little yoops, hunt small game, ice fish, some trapping, going to see the crazies aka the ski jumpers with standing around a Finnish stove with a cold beer in sub zero temps and of course move the old snow so you have room for the new snow, always with the constant thought, will the woodpile last till Spring, other than that, not much to do, probably why reading is still viewed as a welcome activity.

    Keeping Cobots in mind

    1913

On July 23rd, 1913 backed by the Western Federation of Miners, workers strike after company managers refuse to discuss demands for better pay and working conditions. A chief concern is the introduction of a “one-man” drill which will shrink the workforce.

The Michigan National Guard arrives in the Copper Country to maintain order. How bad did it get? it got pretty bad

In sharp contrast with the National Guard, they were quick to use violence against the strikers.  In one incident in Painesdale, a striker was walking home along a path through the mine’s property and was seen by the local deputies.  The deputies reported this incident to the Waddell men who then went to arrest the man under a charge of intimidation.  When they went to arrest him, the man ran into his house where there were 15 other people.  The Waddell men then opened fire on the house, claiming that there had been a shot from inside the house, and killed two men and injured three more. “The mostly peaceful parades of strikers” turned into violent acts from both sides of the strike (excluding the National Guard).  The deputies and Waddell men consistently acted violently toward the strikers and even beat women with clubs or night sticks on many occasions.  This in turn led to the strikers becoming more violent toward the deputies, in one case killing a deputy and in another attempting to kill a deputy.  Strikers also increased their violence toward the imported workers, often throwing rocks at their train cars and beating them on their way to work.  Overall, 38 striker men were charged with assault, 9 were charged with murder, and 56 were charged with intimidation while 8 striker women were charged with assault and 27 with intimidation.  The deputies and Waddell men had very few charges against them, mainly because they were the people issuing the charges and did not charge themselves when they were the aggressors in violent assaults. As a result, an accurate number of the assaults on strikers by deputies is not known.

Some good words with a lot of thumbs up were given to me, sips coffee, those words were with me most of the day, just thinking stuff. Never thought I’d be the one standing yet here I am, taking care of an ancient one with such passion for life. (you have no idea).

    I’ll share those words here:

“At this present time, I’ve not succumbed to the temptation of feeding bugs to those who threaten to feed them to me. If and when America does give in, to that temptation, I strongly suspect that those who presume to adjust our diet) will not only ingest those crawley critters/ bugs themselves but they will also ingest the “bugs” of a different type which “bug” and monitor some of the American population, who’re known as truth tellers. They, the arrogant, will discover that truth can’t be killed, nor can it be controlled albeit its being avoided or hidden”.

One should never push a Man to violence, who’s been waiting for an excuse to use it.

If/when the world goes dark, it’s not hard to vision hunting parties, they be looking for those.

So ladies, you don’t want to be eating bugs, then you need to expand your knowledge. I was about 8 years of age, had this rabbit over my shoulder, its head was dragging on the ground behind me. Probably still the biggest rabbit I’ve taken, still to this day. Yesterday Am, I got a rabbit in a live trap. Mother would always put those the legs in a oven bag, poured cream of mushroom soup over the thighs and baked it, served over rice. Well guess what I did yesterday..

she’d bake 6/8 legs at time

All these years later I’m still reading & learning how others do stuff.

    Relics

One can blame KITDAFBS for this posting, I do so you can to. He posted some maps concerning the laundromat known as Ukraine. I did a map of Savlbard seed vault figuring it might come in handy for someone in the far-off future, it’s located here:

It was built for such occasions as natural disasters, war and of course climate change.

Looking around the 3rd planet, I’d surmise we have those things happening now. I see 2 problems for those who find my map in the future, getting there and getting in.

Both of which are not my problems.

Last year I went to an old SAC base down the road, waves my hand that way, driving around waiting for a plane to land or slide off the runway, roads were rather icy that day, why I remember that?, I went down a hill in the truck sideways, 4 wheel drive is useless when going down a hill that glare ice, ” great just great, here comes a 45 degree curve”. Fun times I’m tellin ya.

That smell, that JP4 smell, I swear I could still smell it looking at those planes.

    Some extra stuff if interested.

A couple of cops racing down a road near the base in the 70s, chasing lights in the sky

    they went up and disappeared.

” Sir, our budget only allows us to tract 2% of the sky, pardon me sir, but it’s a bigass sky”

    Daja vu

Was a day long ago, looking just like this yesterday out over the lake, look close you see can an ore carrier seeking safe harbor.

Dad was out there somewhere heading as well, telescopes and binoculars, every one of the boys,we all had our own, looking for the fishtug. Was probably the first time I heard ” what the fuck was that” uttered by one of my brothers. A blue ball of pure energy came through the front window, caught the corner of a end table, that was on the fire, went through the living room, the phone on the wall of archway entry into the kitchen was melted, it went up through kitchen ceiling left a about 2/3 foot burn in it. The smell of burnt electricity hung heavy in the air for a couple hours. Every hair on your body was standing up with the feeling of being shinged. Couple of us ran up to the attic checking for fire, just more burn marks. Found myself yesterday stepping to the right of the window you know, just to safe (r).

Just imagine, looking out there an seeing a long boat, as it draws nearer, you can make out singing

Your first thought would probably be…. well there goes peace & quiet, grab your gear.

On the lighter side of Life, I had to stop taking her to stores that sold antiques, she get into heated conversations over something being antique. I told I was going light a candle asked where she had put matches since their not in thier normal spot, ” in the cabinet over there waving her hand”, just for fun I went to Ebay, I could be rich beyond mounds of Everest, I don’t want to be rich, I just want to light a candle.
