    Feds Execute Child Murderer

In what was the first federal execution in 17 years, Daniel Lewis Lee was put to death for slaughtering an Arkansas family, including an eight year old girl in 1996.

The execution proceeded after some last minute legal wrangling that saw a DC district Judge issuing an injunction yesterday just prior to the scheduled time for the execution. The Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision, vacated that injunction early this morning and allowed the execution to go forward.

“The plaintiffs in this case are all federal prisoners who have been sentenced to death for murdering children,” the court wrote in an unsigned opinion. “The plaintiffs committed their crimes decades ago and have long exhausted all avenues for direct and collateral review. ”

Attorney General Bill Barr announced the return of the federal death penalty last year, saying he owed it to the victims’ families to resume executions.

“Under Administrations of both parties, the Department of Justice has sought the death penalty against the worst criminals, including these five murderers, each of whom was convicted by a jury of his peers after a full and fair proceeding. The Justice Department upholds the rule of law—and we owe it to the victims and their families to carry forward the sentence imposed by our justice system,” Barr said.

I have to wonder what is going on with the Trump campaign. Every poll I’ve seen shows Trump trailing Plugs by a considerable margin. My take? The campaign lacks a coherent direction. For every positive step forward, there seems to be a step or two backwards. For historical perspective, this was the position his campaign found itself in 2016. What happened to change it? He brought in Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway to run everything. Perhaps it’s time for a shake up.

I hate to sound ableist, but that’s the most retarded thing I’ve ever heard. New York had 33,000 (and counting) covid19 deaths, more than 6,000 in nursing homes and seeded the rest of the goddamned country. In what world is that to be praised? Then again, Jarrett thought the Iranians would abide by the JCPOA.

Speaking of Iran, they seem to be experiencing some accidents of late. The latest happening yesterday at liquid gas plant in the Kavian Fariman industrial zone, south of the city of Masshad. This comes on the heels of explosions at a pair of suspected nuclear sites.

I, for one, have had it up to here with politicians saying shite like that, and not getting called on it. I suppose representing a state where there’s zero chance of being voted out has its perks. . . .

Tomorrow is the Alabama GOP Senate run-off. It pits former Alabama senator and Attorney General Jeff I have to recuse myself Sessions and former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville. Tuberville led Sessions by 13,000 votes in the regular primary, but Alabama rules state a run-off is necessary. Whoever wins is expected to beat Doug Jones , the Dem who beat Roy Moore for Sessions old seat.

  • Bonhomme Richard fire update

    Bonhomme Richard fire update

As I reported yesterday, the USS Bonhomme Richard caught fire while alongside at San Diego around 0830 PDT. Firefighting efforts continue at this hour, and are expected to last the next several days. The cause of the fire onboard the 844 foot amphibious assault ship is still unknown.

The fire apparently broke out in the ship’s lower vehicle storage area according to Rear Adm. Philip Sobeck, commander of Expeditionary Strike Group 3.

Throughout Sunday night and into Monday morning, helicopters from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Three dropped buckets of water on the ship. Tug boats also sprayed water on the ship from the bay, while all ships in port were directed to assist with the effort, the Navy said.

    https://twitter.com/SurfaceWarriors/status/1282680329191317505?s=20

Federal and Navy firefighters took turns battling the blaze as they worked to “find the seat of the fire and extinguish it,” said Federal Fire San Diego Division Chief Rob Bondurant around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Thirty-four sailors and 23 civilians have been treated for minor injuries, including heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation, from the fire aboard the San Diego-based amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard which began Sunday morning, the Navy said.

Five sailors remain in the hospital and are in stable condition, Naval Surface Forces for the Pacific Fleet tweeted on Monday.

    https://twitter.com/SurfaceWarriors/status/1282645872031850498?s=20

“We’re absolutely going to make sure it sails again,” Sobeck told reporters early Sunday evening. “Right now we’re fighting the fire and then we’ll work on understanding what exactly happened with the fire and where it went, make sure she sails as best as possible … she was in a stage of repair anyway, so we’ll get right back at it once we get this thing contained.”

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday called the incident “a terrible tragedy.”

“We are grateful for the quick and immediate response of local, base, and shipboard firefighters aboard USS Bonhomme Richard,” he said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with our BHR Sailors, their families, and our emergency responders who continue to fight the fire. Godspeed.”

    Who shall I blame today?

Back to civilization – kinda, sorta, and somewhat (great joy & Happiness) right?

    Bullshit

Hearing the radio newsman blaring out his same ole song from the truck radio as I was coming out of the Ottawa,

a forest of about a million acres just down road from me

(everything is just down the road, actually)

He was talking the Washington Redskins gonna change their name because of some whiny-ass liberal scumbags, who I wouldn’t trust with an old timer knife, let alone a chainsaw

They got no life of their own, so they go about interfering in other people’s lives and businesses because they know better how you should live YOUR life.

Well fuck them too….who knows, maybe the Washington Yellowbellies…(Foreskins?)…. will wanna come play in the Ottawa

But I wouldn’t know, having shot my teevee decades ago (better things to do than stare at an idiot box)

    History Lesson:

I remember Dad piling his family into a station wagon and off we go on a trip. Zane was in the car with us

Once again as a kid I thought dad was gonna trade the girls for some cool stuff

    wrong

instead we were shown Wounded Knee

a massacre inflicted by others who thought they knew better how we should live OUR lives

    shot dead from behind

So who blames the Washington Yellowbellies? It is the cowards caving, and NOT those peoples and warriors they originally honored.

    yes, I said honored.

    how about

Crazy Thunder, or maybe his Son Jimmy

    both died the same day

The Left’s greatest weapon hasn’t been the teevee or social media…. no

    it was the hyphen

  • Indianapolis mother killed . . .

    Indianapolis mother killed . . .

Because she said All Lives Matter

A 23 year old Indianapolis mother was shot to death last Sunday. From Fox59:

According to the victim’s family, the shooting started over some racially charged language. The victim, Jessica Doty Whitaker, leaves behind a little boy. “She shouldn’t have lost her life. She’s got a 3-year-old son she loved dearly,” said her fiance Jose Ramirez.

According to Ramirez, he and the victim and two other people were hanging out along the canal when someone in their group used a slang version of the N-word.That word prompted a confrontation by a group of strangers. During a brief argument, Ramirez claims the suspect’s group shouted Black Lives Matter and either Whitaker or someone in her group replied that All Lives Matter. The two sides separated because they realized they were both armed. The groups then fist bumped and walked away from each other.

“It was squashed and they went up the hill and left we thought, but they were sitting on St. Clair waiting for us to come under the bridge and that’s when she got shot,” said the victim’s fiancé Jose Ramirez.

The murder, and that’s what this is, occurred a week ago Sunday, yet you haven’t heard anything about it. Why is that? Seems to me that this would be news worthy. Some BLM supporters killing someone for saying all lives matter aught to be something you’d see on the news. The sad fact of the matter is most of the media have a vested interest in BLM. They can’t cover this because of that interest.

As of this writing, no suspects have been identified, but the IMPD and Indiana State Police are investigating.

U.S. Locks Down Bases in Okinawa After Coronavirus Outbreak

A total of 61 cases are reported among U.S. personnel on Japanese island

TOKYO—The U.S. military said Sunday it has ordered Marine personnel on the Japanese island of Okinawa to stay on base after a coronavirus outbreak involving dozens of cases drew criticism from the island’s governor.

The Marine Corps told Okinawa officials that a total of 61 new coronavirus infections were confirmed among U.S. service members and related personnel on Okinawa between July 7 and July 11, said Marine spokesman Maj. Ken Kunze.

The southern island plays host to more than half of the roughly 50,000 U.S. military personnel in Japan, and tensions are frequent between local people and the U.S. forces over noise, crime, military accidents and other issues.

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-locks-down-bases-in-okinawa-after-coronavirus-outbreak-11594538627

Military’s COVID-19 cases growing at twice the nationwide rate

More than 4,100 service members have tested positive for coronavirus since the July 1, according to the Defense Department’s latest statistics, a rise of about 33 percent in the last 10 days. That is more than twice the rate of growth nationwide during the same period, 16 percent, as the U.S. more than once broke its daily records for new cases.

There were three new deaths, all of contractors or civilians, during this period as well.

Defense officials have attributed the recent rise in military cases both to increased testing and to the lifting of shelter-in-place orders in some force concentration areas, while expressing faith that local commanders are enforcing protective measures like social distancing and face covering for their troops.

“While we are seeing some upticks in the same places there are upticks in the civilian sector, again, that is not necessarily overly surprising, in that we have been doing more testing,” assistant defense secretary for health affairs Tom McCaffery told reporters July 1. “And we have been doing testing of those who are asymptomatic.”

The infection rate among service members is now 0.8 percent, compared to 0.9 nationwide. That is the closest the military’s infection rate has come to the general public’s in the U.S., and double what it was in mid-June.

These most recent calculations by Military Times reflect the period between July 1 and July 10, rather than the previous weekly calculations published every Friday. DoD did not post its updated numbers on July 3, despite its current Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule.

Officials have pointed to states with spiking infection rates as possible contributors to new cases.

“In general we are doing more testing, which can lead to more positive cases, which prompts more testing,” Air Force spokesman Lt. Col. Malinda Singleton told Military Times in late June. “Many of our installations are in current hotspots (Texas, Arizona, Florida), which is also leading to an increase in positive cases.”
