The Biden campaign is trying to spin the email scandal the NY Post uncovered. What you’re not hearing are any kind of denials from the Biden camp. The kind of denials you’d expect when false information gets pushed.

Instead you’re seeing weak deflections like the one above.

The leader of the Boilermakers union blasted Joe Biden after Biden claimed the Boilermakers union had endorsed him.

“The other day I’m watching the debate and I see Joe Biden tell everybody that the Boilermakers endorsed him and that is not true,” John Hughes, leader of the Boilermakers local 154 said on a Saturday press call, “And I would like somebody to tell me who — he said he talked to somebody — I’d like to know who he talked to in the Boilermakers because anybody I talk to did not endorse him.”

You should probably know about the historic Abraham Accords by now. They’re the agreements between Israel and several Arab states that normalize diplomatic relations. So far, The Kingdom hasn’t signed on, but given what the Saudi foreign minister, Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz said on Saudi TV, it probably won’t be long in coming.

Bandar made it clear that the Palestinians were as much, if not more, to blame for the lack of progress in negotiations as the Israelis. That’s a pretty substantive change from the usual statements coming from Riyadh.

Cornell University is located not far from this Editor in Ithaca NY. The school is proposing to change the name of it’s English department. For some reason, the faculty seems to think the current title, the English department, will confuse students. Apparently the faculty feels students may think the English department specializes in the English nationality instead of the English language. From the Cornell Sun:

The new proposed name — “the department of literatures in English” — would mark a distinct change in the department’s branding, helping to eliminate what Director of Undergraduate Studies Prof. Kate McCullough, English, said was the “conflation of English as a language and English as a nationality.”

A newly announced ICE operation has taken 176 illegal immigrants into custody. The arrests were made in Philadelphia, Denver, New York, Washington, Baltimore and Seattle, all sanctuary cities. “Operation Rise is proof-positive that we will never back down from enforcing the rule of law, with or without the cooperation of local political leaders,” Chad Wolf, acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, said at a Philadelphia news conference.

A few observations about last night’s town halls.

First, and I don’t know why it surprised me, Savannah Guthrie is the worst kind of hack. She allowed the audience a grand total of 10 questions, while she asked 47. She also continued to push debunked narratives.

I didn’t watch much of the Biden town hall, mainly because I knew there would be no substantive questions asked or answered. Even so, Joe looked like he was just about done in before the event was over.

And then there was this from the Trump event. The woman is Mayra Joli, is an immigration attorney, former beauty queen and pro-Trump activist who ran for Congress in Florida in 2018.

I’ve been a little quiet about the Biden email thing. I instinctively distrust the type of info that’s being presented. I’ll give you the Steele ‘dossier’ as an example of why I’m skeptical. And to be honest, I was more invested in the way Twitter and Facebook tried to spike the story. However, the fact that the Biden camp isn’t coming out and saying they’re fabricated, and none of the allegations are false, leads me to believe the emails and such are in fact real. Another tranche of emails, this time from a former associate of Hunter Biden, have come to light. This time, they describe in detail Hunter playing on his father’s name with the Chinese and brokering meetings between his Chinese partners and Obama/Biden administration officials. Stay tuned folks, this is likely to get interesting.

I wrote about the Biden Bombshell here. It seems as though Jack Dorsey and Twitter are actively looking for a federal government sized enema. Since the story broke yesterday, Twitter has gone on a banning, lockout and content restrictions spree. Today, several prominent Senators have made it known they are going to subpoena Jack and probably Zuckerberg as well. FCC chair Ajit Pai has announced an investigation and the FEC chair has announced that agency plans on opening an investigation.

Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled that prisoners are eligible to receive the $1200 coronavirus stimulus check. The Clinton appointee set an Oct. 24 deadline for the IRS to reconsider sending the payments to locked-up individuals whose checks have been withheld, intercepted, or returned. Incarcerated people who didn’t file a 2018 or 2019 income tax return — which would allow the IRS to automatically distribute their checks — have until Oct. 30 to submit paperwork to claim the money.

Remember the kerfuffle when C-SPAN host and moderator for the now canceled 2nd Presidential Debate, Steve Scully claimed his Twitter was hacked? Well, he admitted it wasn’t and got suspended by C-SPAN for it.

The Presidential Debate that was scheduled for tomorrow is being replaced by dueling town hall style events. Joe Biden event which will be hosted by George Stephanopoulos, will take place in Philadelphia and be broadcast on ABC’s network. President Trump will take questions live from Florida voters in Miami. His event will be broadcast on the NBC network along with CNBC and MSNBC. Journalist Savannah Guthrie will host the president’s event. Both events are scheduled to start at 2000 eastern. Look for our live coverage of the townhalls about 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Trump dossier pusher Bruce Ohr has resigned from the Department of Justice. It seems he quit just before he was about to be fired for cause. Unfortunately, he’ll never pay the price for the crimes he committed.

A new poll suggests a plurality of voters blame Nancy Pelosi for the stalemate on covid relief. Interestingly, independent voters are more likely to blame her than the President by a fairly large margin.

Doug Collins of Georgia has introduced a resolution in the House calling for the removal of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi due to her lack of “mental fitness.”

“It’s clear that Nancy Pelosi does not have the mental fitness to serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives,” he wrote. “I’m introducing a resolution to push for her removal.” He continued, asserting that “Nancy Pelosi’s unwillingness to abide by the Constitution, combined with her recent actions, call into question her own mental fitness. It’s critical that the House of Representatives demand her removal from the line of succession.”

Unfortunately, the chances of that resolution going anywhere are slim and none.
