    Suspect in Sheriffs Ambush Charged

    LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva has announced a suspect has been charged in the ambush shooting of two deputies earlier this month.

    Deonte Lee Murray, 36, was taken into custody after a lengthy standoff three days after the deputies were shot, though his arrest was unrelated to the attack on the deputies, Sheriff Alex Villanueva said.

    Murray, who has suspected gang ties, was charged with one felony count each of carjacking, second-degree robbery, and assault with a firearm at the time of his arrest. The charges also included allegations of association with a criminal street gang, discharging a rifle inflicting great bodily injury, and personal use of an AR-15.

    Those were the words spoken by an air traffic controller at LAX after receiving reports of a man wearing a jet pack flying near the airport.

    Pilots from two separate airlines reported seeing a man with a jet pack flying near them as they made their final approach to the airport. An FAA spokesperson says the incident was reported by crews on Southwest Airlines and American Airlines flights who say they saw “what appeared to be someone in a jet pack” around 6:35 p.m. Sunday near the airport.

    Pilot: “Tower, American 1997, we just passed a guy in a jet pack”

    Tower: “American 1997, OK, thank you, were they to your left side or right side?”

    Pilot: “Off the left side at ah maybe 300-ah-300 yards or so, about our altitude”

    Tower: “OK American 1997”

    The riots we’ve seen in Portland for the last 59 days has started to spread.

    The city of Seattle declared a riot last night and rioters attacked court houses and police precinct houses in several other cities.

    In Oakland, CA, they went after the police and the Alameda County Courthouse, spray painting “kill judges” and starting a fire inside the building.

    They vandalized the courthouse in Aurora CO, setting it on fire and causing significant damage to the building.

    In LA rioters attacked the Federal Court house and the Federal detention center.
