Let’s start in Florida, where it seems the DMV is no longer allowing changes to gender at local offices.

Look, I don’t care how you identify. Unless and until you force others to participate in your delusions it does not affect me in the least. If you identify as an attack helicopter, fine by me, but I’m not going to encourage your mental illness.

Anyway, the only reason I included this item is so I could post this meme:

When you try to register your Trans at the Florida DMV

Representative Cori Bush, D-MO, is under criminal investigation. It seems the Justice Department (finally) took notice of the fact she was paying her husband $600k a year for ‘security services’. Never mind the fact that he is not licenced to do so, either in Missouri or DC. I should also point out that she was paying $500k a year for the same services to real security companies at the same time.

Remember that Bush, a ‘Squad’ member, was a big part of the Defund the Police movement.

The IDF pulled off an audacious raid yesterday. 10 members of YAMAM, the Israeli police CT unit, infiltrated a hospital in Jenin in the West Bank and took out 3 Hamas terrorists. The operators dressed in scrubs in order to get to Mohammad Jalamna and two others. Jalamna was responsible for communications with Hamas leadership and coordinating weapons deliveries. Jalamna was using the Jenin hospital as a secret base of operations as he was planning an infiltration attack akin to and inspired by the October 7 massacre.

The Feds finally got around to releasing the December numbers for Illegal border crossings and the total will shock you. There were more than 302,000 ‘encounters’ at the southern border. That’s 50,000 more than the prior month and sets an all time record. Fiscal year to date, there have been more than 785,000 encounters at the southern border.

Nationwide encounters set a new record in December as well, topping 371,000 last month. That’s 15,000 more people than live in Cleveland, and 64,000 more than live in Cincinnati, all coming to the United States illegally in just one month.

I put scare quotes around encounters as it’s a term of art that was coined by the Biden Administration. It’s defined as the total number of aliens apprehended by Border Patrol after entering illegally plus inadmissible aliens stopped by CBP officers in the agency’s Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the ports of entry.

To say these numbers are unsustainable is a massive understatement. The lies and gas-lighting about the border coming from this administration has reached a fever pitch. Everyone involved needs to be impeached and removed.

As the Russian war of aggression 3 day Special Military Operation in Ukraine enters its 99th week, the Russian Air Force suffered the loss of two aircraft yesterday. A Beriev A-50 “Mainstay” AEW&C plane -think AWACS- and an Illushin IL-22 “Coot” ISR/airborne command and control plane were hit over the sea of Azov. The Mainstay was shot down, while the heavily damaged Coot managed to make a landing at a nearby airfield.

In addition a Russian Ilyushin Il-20M was also hit in this area and signaled mayday, including the attempt for an emergency landing in Anapa, Russia, as well as the request for ambulances. There is no information that the plane arrived at the destination but even if then it was certainly severely damaged. The cause for both incidents are still a matter of speculation, but the fact that two valuable Russian birds got hit at the same time and the same region, make enemy fire the most plausible explanation.

This is a costly loss for the Russians, as there were only 8 of the A-50 and 11 of the IL-22m air-frames ever built. It is believed that Lt. General Oleg Pchela, commander of the long-range aviation of the Russian Air Force, was on board the A-50 aircraft destroyed by Ukraine.

I’m seeing three theories being bandied about regarding the shoot-downs. First is it was a Russian ‘friendly fire’ incident. I personally find that hard to swallow as we are talking about two C&C birds that are both linked into the Russian ADA net.

The second theory floating around is some sort of SAM trap executed by Ukraine. While this is possible, sources I trust say the interception by Ukraine has would have been at or near the max range of the Patriot PAC2 missile and outside the range of any of the other ADA missiles Ukraine has access to.

The third theory, and the one I think most plausible, involves an air-to-air kill with UA SU-27s or MiG 29s armed with AIM 120 AMRAAM missiles. The damage to the tail section of the COOT looks like the damage I’d expect from that particular warhead vice the PAC2 warhead. Anyway, FAFO

The IRGC took direct credit for a complex missile and drone attack on targets in Iraqi Kurdistan and Northern Syria. The IRGC said it was targeting the “headquarters of spies” and “anti-Iranian terrorist gatherings in parts of the region” with ballistic missiles. The sites struck were close to US locations in Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. No US facilities were struck and there weren’t any US casualties, but the strikes were called ‘imprecise and reckless’ by one US official.

I really wish someone other than POTATUS or the Prostate kid was in charge. This kind of escalation really needs to be answered, as in Operation Praying Mantis answered. Appeasement never, ever works.

As Admiral Painter said in Red October “This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we’ll be lucky to live through it.”

**** As I was getting ready to publish this piece, some new information crossed the transom. The IRGC struck Baluch separatist bases in Pakistan. As I’m sure you know, the Pakistanis have fucking nukes, several dozen of them. What Iran is thinking, I don’t know.

SCOTUS is set to hear oral arguments in Loper Bright v Raimundo and Relentless v Department of Commerce. At issue is a regulatory ruling forcing commercial fishermen to pay the salaries of compliance observers on their boats. The payment requirement is based on an interpretation of federal law by the National Marine Fisheries Service. These two cases are the biggest of the January term.

These cases stem from a 1984 case called Chevron v National Resources Defense Council, Inc. The ruling in that case created what is known as the Chevron deference. Chevron deference consists of a two-part test that is deferential to government agencies: first, whether Congress has spoken directly to the precise issue at question, and second, “whether the agency’s answer is based on a permissible construction of the statute.”

While I am not a lawyer, it’s my opinion that Chevron was badly decided. The Chevron deference is what created the modern regulatory state. It’s way past time to overturn Chevron and rein in the regulatory state in all its forms. This may be the Court that does just that. Here’s hoping. . .

We’re kicking off today’s View with some news out of Ecuador. From Reuters:

Ecuador is reeling from a fresh wave of violence that has shaken the South American nation, with President Daniel Noboa launching a military crackdown on gangs after criminal groups took more than 100 prison staff hostage and armed men dramatically interrupted a live television broadcast.. . .

Police said on Sunday that Adolfo Macias, the leader of the Los Choneros criminal gang, had disappeared from the prison where he was serving a 34-year sentence. Authorities are trying to track him down.

Meanwhile, there were incidents of violence in at least six prisons beginning on Monday. As of Wednesday, more than 100 guards and other staff were still being held hostage by prisoners. In Riobamba, a provincial capital in central Ecuador, 39 inmates escaped from a prison, though some have been recaptured.

Seven police officers were also kidnapped around the country, though three have been freed.

Much of this is being blamed on the Coof and the Ecuadorian response by the ‘experts’. While that may have some effect, it’s really the soft on crime policies and the look-the-other-way attitude towards drug cartels that caused this explosion in violence. And let’s be honest, that part of Central and South America has a unique violence problem and has for a very long time. El Salvador has tried to crack down on criminal gangs this year with some success. That success has not been without detractors, there has been widespread condemnation of potential civil rights abuses. This editor thinks El Salvador hasn’t gone far enough with the punishment for Mara Salvatrucha.

Hunter Biden made a short appearance at a hearing being held in the House. The committee was marking up the charges against him. Nancy Mace, R-SC, laid into the first son:

“My first question is who bribed Hunter Biden to be here today?” Mace said.

“You are the epitome of white privilege coming into the Oversight Committee spitting in our face ignoring a congressional subpoena to be depose.? What are you afraid of? You have no balls.”

Mace added: “I think Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now, and go straight to jail.” [….]

“Hunter Biden wasn’t afraid to sell access to Joe Biden to the highest bidder when he was an elected office. He wasn’t afraid to trade on the Biden brand, peddle influence and share those ill gotten gains with members of his family, including Joe Biden,” Mace said.

“He wasn’t afraid to compromise the integrity of the presidency and vice presidency by involving Joe Biden shady business deals with our foreign adversaries. But Hunter Biden, you were too afraid to show up for a deposition and you still can’t today.” Mace added “My last message to you, Hunter Biden, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.”

He fled the hearing shortly after that exchange.

    https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1745106360834924959?s=20

I have a couple of questions about his appearance at the hearing. First, why didn’t the Chair order the Sergeant at Arms to arrest him on the spot? Before anyone asks, yes, they have that authority. I’ll freely admit it would have been pure political theater, but still.

Second, who on his team thought this was a good idea? Never mind the legal exposure, as if there would ever be consequences. The press lit into Hunter as he left the hearing, and his advisors had to know it would happen. This is the best of the press questions AFAIC:

    https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/status/1745107221992632623?s=20

Anthony Fauci testified to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chaired by Ohio Republican Brad Wenstrup. Here are the highlights of his testimony:

    https://twitter.com/COVIDSelect/status/1745048326448247246?s=20

    https://twitter.com/COVIDSelect/status/1745048331414307111?s=20

I really hope that odious little gnome gets what he deserves. That said, I’m a realist and know, deep down, nothing is going to happen. And I mean nothing at all. This country, and the entire world for that matter, is no better prepared for a major pandemic now than they were 5 years ago. Hell, they’re probably worse off now. You know, scratch ‘probably’. The way the shot was forced on everyone created more issues than it could have ever solved. Worst among those issues is the heightened hesitancy to get new and novel shots.

A recent intelligence report seems to show the People’s Liberation Army of the CCP has major corruption and readiness issues. The report indicated that instead of rocket fuel, many of the CCP’s ICBMs contained water in their fuel tanks. It also indicated the silo doors on some of the fixed missile installations did not open far enough to launch a missile. There are indications that Xi is undergoing a major purge in the PLA leadership over these and other concerns.

    https://twitter.com/nexta_tv/status/1743709041145065975?s=20
…to risk staging large-scale military operations in the near future, according to the publication.

While I have no reason to disbelieve this story, I still remember that the US intel agencies were saying the Soviets were still a major threat right up until the USSR collapsed in 1991. It’s not that I think the PLA is immune from that level of corruption, they aren’t, it’s the fact that Obama’s NSC leaked the identities of most US assets in China and they either got rolled up or got disappeared.

All that said, my opinion of the PLA/CCP hasn’t changed much over the past few years. They’re good at bullying smaller neighbors but that’s about it. Their record of force projection is abysmal. Hell, the Vietnamese kicked the shit out of them in the late 70s/early 80s. Look up the Sino-Vietnamese war if you don’t believe me. Then there’s the shit that’s going on with India in the Aksai Chin region.

The House Oversight committee has released its Hunter Biden contempt resolution. The House Judiciary is currently working on their version of a contempt resolution. The Oversight resolution now goes to the DoJ for prosecution.

I’m gonna be honest, these resolutions play well with the R base, but they are really just another kind of virtue signalling. Everyone involved is goddamned well aware that the DoJ isn’t going to pursue the case against the crackhead 1st son. Don’t believe me? See Holder, Eric.

This morning, pro-hamas protesters blocked access to The Holland Tunnel and the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges in New York City.

The Port Authority Police Department said protesters blocked the outbound lanes of the Holland Tunnel around 9:30 a.m., resulting in 120 arrests.

The NYPD also responded to both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and took several people into custody.

Video taken near the tunnel showed dozens people sitting down in the roadway, as officers set up metal barriers around them.

Another video showed a similar scene at the Brooklyn Bridge, where about the same number sat in the street there. Video also showed three lanes of traffic at a standstill on the Manhattan Bridge.

Police warned drivers to expect residual delays in the areas around the tunnel and bridges, as well as the Williamsburg Bridge.

Similar traffic blockages took place in LA and Seattle over the weekend.

The source article takes great pains to say pro-‘Palestinian’ protesters. The fact is, they don’t give a fuck about the Pals in general and are actually supporting the Hamas terrorists. The level and virulence of antisemitism I’ve seen lately is shocking. And I don’t know about you, but any protester who keeps me from going where I need or want to go, for any cause, does nothing to sway me to their way of thinking. Honestly, they make themselves my enemy at that point. I’m not saying I’m gonna become this guy, but. . .

The National Park Service is planning on removing a statue of William Penn from in front of Pennsbury Manor. The house and grounds are part of Welcome Park and located a couple of blocks from Independence Hall. Welcome Park is managed by the National Park Service as part of the Independence National Historic Park. Named after the ship William Penn came to the continent on, it is located at the site of Penn’s home. The park exists to celebrate Penn’s life and his many accomplishments.

You knew this was coming. I’ll admit I was agnostic on the removal of Confederate monuments and place-names. Frankly, that fed into the whole ‘Lost Cause’ myth that sprung up in the aftermath of the Civil War. Maybe some day I’ll write a bit about that particular post-war pathology and the shit it led to. My personal feelings aside, I knew when this started it wasn’t going to stop. Maybe we’ll get another giant dick statue* in its place.

*Yes, that’s a thing. Boston unveiled a statue for MLK jr not that long ago, and it looks like a dick from one side.

Putin’s war in Ukraine is now in week 97. It started as a 3 week special military operation. Of late, mainly because of the bezdorizhzhia, or time of roadlessness, there has been little movement on the front lines. Ukraine is waging deep battle far behind the front lines and shaping the battlefield for winter. The Russians are continuing their terror missile and drone attacks on civilian targets. Of note is the fact that of 10 Kinzhal ‘hypersonic’ missiles fired at Ukraine on New Years Day, all 10 were intercepted by the US/Western supplied PAC3 Patriot ADA system.

    https://twitter.com/Cyberdefensecom/status/1742377516398965099?s=20

I know some of you out there disagree with me on the Ukraine situation, but the simple fact is all of the foot dragging by the collective west is dragging us closer and closer to WWIII. And no, that is not hyperbole. Xi, the Ayatollahs, Kim in NK and to a lesser degree Putin all see the lack of resolve in Ukraine as weakness. Weakness they can and will exploit.

South Korea ordered the evacuation of a pair of islands near the maritime border with the North. The evacuation of Yeonpyeong-do and Baeknyeong-do was ordered in response to North Korea firing some 200 artillery rounds into the maritime buffer zone near one of the islands.

The blue line, the Northern Limit line was established as part of the 1953 armistice. In 1999, the North unilaterally claimed the waters between the blue and red lines on the map. This week’s events were set into motion by a North Korean ship crossing the Northern Limit Line on Monday and being turned back by South Korean troops firing warning shots. North Korea later said it conducted firing drills as a “natural response” to military actions by South Korea’s “military gangsters” in recent days. It also threatened an “unprecedented strong response” if Seoul continued to make provocative moves.

Huh, didn’t I just mention Kim above? While artillery exchanges are not unknown in that particular area, what’s different this time is the stated posture of the Norks regarding the ROKs. In remarks to a major party meeting last week, Kim Jung Un said Pyongyang was changing its policy towards the South, which it now sees as an enemy state. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if the change is a response to the lack-of-response by the ROK and US regarding the dozens of ballistic missile tests this year.

Indian navy commandos responded to a distress call in the Arabian Sea today. The MV Lila Norfolk, a 170000 DWT Liberian flagged bulker, was boarded by pirates off the Somali coast. The crew retreated to the ‘citadel’ and called for help. The commandos were from the Indian naval warship INS Chennai. They boarded and ‘sanitized’ the vessel after flying over from the Chennai.

    https://twitter.com/UK_MTO/status/1742930209966612880?s=20

I’m guessing the Indian response was mainly because Indian nationals made up the bulk of the crew of the Lila Norfolk. Then again, it might be that Modi understands that if trade gets choked off in the Red/Suez it’s going to tank the Indian economy. Either way, the goddamned Indians have had a better response than the US so far.

Abu Taqwa Al Si’adi, the commander of Harakat Hezbollah al Nujaba, a powerful Iranian-backed militia based in Iraq and Syria was killed in an airstrike yesterday. Si’adi also served as the deputy director of operations for the Popular Mobilization Forces in what is known as the Baghdad Belts, or the regions surrounding Baghdad.

Thursday’s strike marked just the seventh by the U.S. against the Iranian-backed militias, which have launched 115 attack on U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria since Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. The first six U.S. attacks targeted weapons storage facilities, safe houses or vehicles involved in attacks. This was the first to target a commander of the militias.

The U.S. military did not officially confirm the strike, however an anonymous official told The Wall Street Journal that the target “had American blood on his hands.”

    Oh no, anyway. . .

The keyword for this administration seems to be ‘proportionality’, at least in the Middle East. I would think that means there should have been 115 airstrikes not 7.

A B1B Lancer out of Ellsworth AFB crashed yesterday. All four crew members ejected safely. The statement from the public affairs office for the 28th Bomb Wing, the main unit at Ellsworth, reads:

An Air Force B-1B Lancer assigned to Ellsworth Air Force Base crashed at approximately 5:50 p.m. today while attempting to land on the installation. At the time of the accident, it was on a training mission. There were four aircrew on board. All four ejected safely.

A board of officers will investigate the accident.

Additional details will be provided as they become available. For questions regarding this incident, contact the 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs Office at (605) 385-5056, or by e-mail at 28bw.public.affairs@us.af.mil.

The Bone has suffered from a number of class A mishaps recently and the entire fleet was grounded in 2019 due to an ejection system issue.

Look, all aircraft are one minor failure away from succumbing to gravity. The more complex the airframe is, the more likely it is that something will go wrong. That said, given that a pretty good portion of the B1 fleet is sitting at the boneyard at Davis-Monthan for financial reasons, I think there might be some maintenance issues.

Featured Image: Lake of the Isles from Wellesley Island, Thousand Islands region of the St Lawrence river.

With the start of a new year, I decided to bring back this regular column where I present a variety of news with my personal commentary appended. Expect to see it 4-5 times a week.

Let’s start in DC, where there is a report saying the House homeland security committee is formally moving ahead with impeachment proceedings against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. The first hearing is supposed to take place on Jan. 10, with a possible second hearing to be held the following week.

Ok, as i said to someone in a recent conversation, I’m tired of the virtue signalling on the right. It’s gotten as bad as it is on the left. This is nothing more than theater, as it would be a cold day in hell before the Chuck Shumer led Senate would vote to impeach. As Chip Roy said, it’s time to use the power of the purse to force the President to secure the border.

    https://twitter.com/RepChipRoy/status/1742269135977947180?s=20

Also, miss me with the ‘Chip Roy is a RINO’ nonsense. He’s a rock ribbed conservative and his voting record and policy positions bear that out.

Staying in the District, Senator Bob Menendez, D-NJ, just got hit with a superseding indictment in his federal corruption trial. The new charges are related to him taking bribes from Qatar. He was previously indicted on bribery charges related to Egypt. Authorities who searched Menendez’s home last year said they found more than $100,000 worth of gold bars and over $480,000 in cash – much of it hidden in closets, clothing and a safe.

Am I surprised by this? Sadly no. What I am surprised by is the fact that Menendez still sits on the Senate Intel committee.

On the fourth anniversary of his death a memorial for the Ginsu’ed former head of the Iranian Revolution, Qassem Solemani, was rocked by two large explosions. The blasts killed more than 100 and injured at least 150 more. You’ll remember that Solemani was hit by a Hellfire R9X, the missile with fricken swords, after then President Trump authorized the strike. The bombs went off alongside the route to Kernan Martyrs cemetery in that southern Iranian city during the memorial service.

Of course the Ayatollahs are going to try to blame either Israel or the US. I doubt it was a US operation just because. I’m also reticent to lay this at the Israelis feet. Could they have done this? Quite easily, but it doesn’t fit how they generally operate. The fact is, it is far more likely that some internal dissidents are behind it.

In a related note, the IDF managed to off Saleh al Arouri, a senior Hamas leader known to have connections to Iran, with an airstrike in Lebanon. The US had a $5 million bounty on his head, and had been a specially designated terrorist since 2015. The strike also killed a number of his aides. Israel is already bracing for retaliation from Hezbollah.

    https://twitter.com/visegrad24/status/1742231989057384499?s=20

This is what I meant in the piece about the Solemani memorial explosions. The strike on al Arouri is a classic Israeli precision strike. The roadside bombs in Iran just seem to indiscriminate to me. I also think this particular strike, deep in Lebanon, puts a lot of people on notice.

The list of names associated with Pedo Jeffrey Epstein is set to be released. According to reports, the majority of the names are already known, and those that aren’t are victims. The list was part of a civil suit brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein and Ghislane Maxwells victims.

    Epstein didn’t kill himself. . .

Seriously tho, don’t expect any major revelations from this release. We already know most of the names of those involved in the sex trafficking.

  • The Hive Cannot Stand

    The Hive Cannot Stand

Hi, all. Leo here – it’s been a while since I did one of these. I won’t bore you with the reasons – the simple answer is that I didn’t have anything I really felt compelled to write about.

    Now I do.

I present to you the Future of Mankind – a bugmen hive.

Those are of course screenshots – I don’t want to drive traffic to Twitter, and who knows if @Phoron4 will be banned any day now. Anyway, I have a few thoughts.

Hopefully the above scenario is just as repugnant to you as it is to me. However, I would like to offer some reassurance: this will not be the future.

To understand why, we need to delve a bit into philosophy for a moment. Allow me to present you with a concept:

A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet.

Classic Shakespeare, but it serves to illustrate an important philosophical concept: the actual sounds we make when we speak and the symbols we write may ultimately have only arbitrary links to each other or to the ideas we are attempting to convey – but that same arbitrariness doesn’t extend to the real things language describes. Language might be a social construct, but it’s a construct built around an objective reality; a reality that our minds have to categorize in pieces, because we can’t comprehend all of it at once.

If that sounds reasonable to you, you’ve internalized the metaphysical concept of “the primacy of existence“. What this means is that you’ve accepted implicitly that the real world existed before you did, and it will continue to exist after you are gone – thus your thoughts and actions have to work within the limitations given to you by the world, and any judgments you make about the state of the world have informational content about things separate from your own consciousness.

This is the foundation of objectivity.

The other side of this coin is “the primacy of consciousness“, and it means your consciousness and perception create the reality you live in. There are no limitations imposed on us by reality, only socially-constructed limitations on our minds that prevent us from perceiving anything we want to see and making real anything we want to imagine.

This is the foundation of subjectivity.

I bring up this divide because all scientific and technological advances are based on the former philosophy – in order for Man to command Nature, he must understand the natural law. No amount of relabeling or redefining gravity – and no amount of insisting that the theory of universal gravitation is racist because Newton was white – will make water run uphill. Developing something like a pump requires the implicit, internalized assumption that water will not do so, and instead must be physically moved uphill by mechanical means.

This is the white pill I have to offer you: Wokism is completely lacking in the ideological infrastructure needed to deal with reality.

Probably the best illustration of the problem can be seen in the 1957 novel ‘Atlas Shrugged’, but it’s easy enough to explain: the hives these bugmen intend for humanity to inhabit cannot sustain themselves. They might prioritize the cities over the hinterlands, but not as part of a deliberate plan to depopulate the latter – instead they will do it out of desperation. We aren’t dealing with highly capable technocrats like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos trying to take over the world – we’re dealing with low-functioning alcoholic journalists and ancom Furries.

Anyone with the technical skills needed to make the water treatment plants function (plants that these bugmen hives cannot survive without) will very quickly run into the brick wall that is the Wokist ideologues who will be their overseers. These overseers will have all the zeal of a lifelong jihadist but will lack entirely his physical acumen. An ideological movement that cannot espouse a concrete definition of “woman” cannot make a civilization completely dependent on advanced machinery function – what remains of their minds cannot accept the reality the existence of those machines is showing them, that water cannot be made to run uphill merely by fighting against the limitations of our imaginations, or by claiming that the top of a hill identifies as the bottom.

And they aren’t going to let it go. The Woke ideology is the only path these people have to power and status – a meritocratic society would have a place for them, but only at the bottom rung of the ladder. A society where emotional blackmail and sophistry are marketable job skills is the only one where they can succeed, and they will absolutely fight to the death to keep it.

Fortunately for us, they can’t fight for shit, and their ideology is completely sterile – if we can but wrest our children away from them, they’ll starve and die, and nothing of value will be lost. Complex machinery requires a complex mind to comprehend – complex societies cannot be run by people who mindlessly chant slogans. Rockets cannot be built by mobs of people who can’t successfully grow a potato. Or as Tolkien put it: “The Shadow that bred them can only mock, it cannot make: not real new things of its own.”

Make no mistake: the next few years will be rough. The existing cracks in the system will widen. It’s not clear that the Republic will survive – it might, but in a very different form. But all wars are wars of attrition, and as they damage the system they purport to govern they will continue to rob themselves of the very resources necessary to keep it going.

It’s going to take a while, but we will prevail. Keep the faith alive, keep your spine straight, keep calm and keep your rifle by your side.

There is some news out of the District that is pissing me off today. You’ve all heard about the substandard food the National Guard has been putting up with while deployed to the Nation’s Capital. What you may not know is that the commander of the National Guard Bureau, General Daniel Hokanson wrote a memo stating continued deployment to DC would cause undue strain on the NG. The memo reads in part:

“Efforts to date have not secured enough volunteers among supporting states to meet the USCP request of 2,280 Soldiers, no Option B of 1000 soldiers.

Over the past 12 months, States have experienced unprecedented demand for National Guard utilization related to COVID-19, Civil Disturbance, wildfire, hurricane and flood response, all while meeting every combatant comment deployment requirement. In addition, the states are currently increasing their internal requirements to support COVID-19 vaccination efforts and posturing for seasonal natural disasters as well as training for future deployments. This significantly increased operational temp directly impacts our ability to continue to man the mission with volunteers. To date, only 500 have volunteered to extend through the draft RFA end date despite our best efforts to marshal more volunteers.

Additionally, faced with pressing needs within their states, numerous Adjutants General and Governors have expressed their unwillingness to order the involuntary mobilization of NG personnel to man the mission, Moreover, I am concerned that the continued indefinite nature of this requirement may also impeded our ability to man future missions as both Adjutants General and Guardsmen alike may be skeptical about committing to similar endeavors. Pursuit of other inter-agency law enforcement options seems highly preferable to requesting involuntary mobilizations under the current circumstances

Needless to say, the partisan hack who is in charge over at that outfit over there, I want to keep calling him General disregarded the memo and ordered a continuation of the troop presence.

While we’re on the subject of Joe’s decline, I feel compelled to point out a few things. First, Biden has been president for 57 days, and still no press conference. That’s the longest period of time a president has taken to hold a presser in 100 years. His shill, Jen Psaki keeps banging on about him having 40 Q&A sessions since he was inagurated, but even the MSM isn’t buying that crap anymore. Even when he does have a “press availability” his handlers hustle the press corps out of the room before Joe has a chance to answer. You can hear them shouting over the press in the clip below.

The idiots in charge in California are at it again. This time its the LA city council. The brain trust there have mandated an additional $5 an hour hero pay for grocery store workers. The results were as expected. Kroger announced they were closing 3 stores in LA. Seems the city of Long Beach enacted a similar statute with similar results. Go figure. . .

There is some news out of my home state regarding Andy Cuomo. First, a 6th accuser has come forward. However, unlike the previous 5, this one claims “the Luv Gov” sexually assaulted her. The Albany county sheriff’s office is reportedly investigating the claims. There’s more, Carl Heastie, NY Assembly Speaker, announced the state assembly was meeting tonight to discuss “paths forward” regarding Il Duce. Impeachment is a distinct possibility at this point.

More Governor news, this time out of California. The effort to oust Gavin Nuisance just hit a major milestone. The recall petiton has garnered some 2 million signatures.

The U.S. Marshals Service and Homeland Security Investigations teamed up with four police departments in Texas for “Operation Missing in the Metroplex” to crack down on human trafficking. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas announced that 31 missing children from the Dallas-Fort Worth area were recovered during the monthlong operation. The missing kids were found and recovered with the assistance of the Arlington Police Department, the Dallas Police Department, the Fort Worth Police Department, and the Grand Prairie Police Department. The operation was the latest in a string of missing children recovery efforts spearheaded by the Marshalls Service.

It’s a sad day. The beloved childhood toy Mr. Potato Head is no more. The maker of the face-changing tuber, Hasbro, has announced a re-branding that will be less gender specific. Wokeness knows no bounds. . .

This editor has to wonder what’s next?

I mean. . . Seriously, those on the left are delusional. But let’s take a look at why they are. Constant media hype about ‘sedition’, ‘treason’ and ‘coup attempts’ by Trump supporters are to blame.

John Geddert, the former U.S. Olympic gymnastics coach charged with several crimes including human trafficking, died by suicide, the Michigan attorney general’s office said Thursday. He was charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual assault, 20 counts of human trafficking, forced labor, six counts of human trafficking of a minor, forced labor, operating a criminal enterprise, and lying to police. Geddert was associated with serial pedo Larry Nasser, the former US national gymnastics team doctor, who was convicted of sexually abusing several young athletes and is currently Tyrone’s plaything in federal prison. It’s too bad Geddert isn’t going to get the same treatment. . .

U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton put the kibosh on Sleepy Joe’s border enforcement plan. Tipton was appointed by Trump: cue the outrage.

My Gran always said Ní faide gob na gé ná gob an ghandail. (what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander for those not havin’ the Irish). As that was the preferred tactic of the anti-Trumpers on both sides of the aisle, this editor hopes they choke on it now.

The State Department says that the Chinese authorities forcibly tested embassy staff for covid. Big deal you say, but there’s a catch; the Chinese used anal swabs, not the normal nose or throat swabs. (This editor is laughing his ass off as he types this item.) According to reports, the anal swabs are about the same as nasal or throat swabs, except, you know, location. That is, the swab is inserted about an inch or so and twirled around. I have to wonder how that story will be told on the Foggy Bottom cocktail circuit. . .
