Convention Bounce? Trump Up With Minorities

A new Hill/HarrisX poll shows minority support of President Trump growing.

24% of registered black voters in the Aug. 22-25 survey, which included the first two days of the convention, said they approve of the job Trump is doing as president. That’s up 9% from a previous survey conducted Aug. 8-11, where the President received 15% support among this group.

His approval rating also increased among Hispanic voters, up 2%, at 32%, over the last survey.

According to the Hill/HarrisX survey, his overall approval rating is 44%, down a point from the previous survey. Unsurprisingly, that number is driven by Democrats, they disapprove at an 87% rate.

This spells serious trouble for Joe Biden. Trump won in 2016 with 9% of the black vote.
