The View from Here

Today’s featured image is of Delphi Falls. The Falls are on the east branch of Limestone Creek. Limestone Creek flows northward through Madison and Onondaga counties in central NY.

This one really deserves its own post, but frankly, I’m tired of writing about the nonsense that’s occuring daily in the Pacific Northwest. In a now viral video, a Seattle cop tells a BLM supporter that he’s done, he’s resigning and has two months left on the job. Warning extremely NSFW language:

When all is said and done, I don’t blame the cop. Between the city council forcing out Chief Best, cutting funding and personnel and mayor Jenny Durkan’s overt support for the rioters in her city, why stick around?

Ok, I don’t know who Rep. Jim Cooper is or anything about him, and I’m too lazy err disinterested err busy writing to bother to Google him, but clearly he’s A) dumb, B) a democrat, and C) mentally unstable. Anyway, he had some stupid things to say about the Postal Service and the Postmaster.

For starters, the USPS is fully funded until next spring. Next, the disappearing mail boxes started under Barry, and the ones gone were seldom used. And the postal service moves sorting machines etcetera all the time based on mail volume.

Ride hailing companies, Uber and Lyft, are ceasing operations in California. This comes after a state judge ruled that they must reclassify all drivers in the state as employees because of AB5, the state’s new anti-freelancing law.

Plugs, err, Joe Biden forgot how many grandchildren he has. Again. Sound like someone you want negotiating with Putin or Xi?

Also, Cardi B? Come on man. . . .

File this in the if it wasn’t such a sh*thole category. For the first time since the 1970’s real estate prices and rent have seen major decreases in New York City. The average monthly rent across the city has declined by 10% in the last year. But wait, there’s more! The percentage of available units is the highest it’s been since records have been kept. There are somewhere around 13,000 apartments available and the number of new leases signed fell by 23%.
