Today’s edition of the View is a bit early. We are covering the Trump campaign rally in Fayetteville NC live today, and the event is scheduled to start at 1800 east, the usual publication time for this daily. I invite you all to join us at 1800 for the rally.


A magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook southern California last night. The earthquake, centered just southwest of El Monte in eastern Los Angeles County, was felt as far south as San Diego. There haven’t been any reports of significant damage from the quake.


After taking several nights off, the violence returned to the streets of Portland last night. Unfortunately for the rioters, the police were rested and ready for them.

Trump can be, and often is, crass and unfeeling when he speaks off the cuff, but he hit the right tone here in my opinion. Unlike Chuck Schumer, whos first public statement about RBG’s death was a warning to not try to confirm a replacement before the election.
