That headline is certainly an attention grabber. It was intended as yet another hit piece.

What are the facts?

In 2018, President Trump was in Paris. He was scheduled to visit Belleau Wood Cemetery. Due to adverse weather, the event was cancelled. With six hours of available time, the President it would seem (no real information on this) walked around the historic Paris Embassy looking at art work. On the next day, Trump pointed out a Benjamin Franklin bust, a Franklin portrait and a set of figurines of Greek mythical characters, and insisted the pieces come back with him to Washington.

It would seem the faithful elitists in the State Department were overwrought. Emails were exchanged between State and the White House. The classic part of this is State having to acknowledge nothing illegal occurred, because the art works were being moved to the White House.

A more interesting fact is none of art works were originals.

Yet another play of “Much Ado About Nothing” only this time being presented in 2020 by Bloomberg News.
