Say what you want about the French, and Lord knows I do, the Frogs who run Charlie Hebdo are no cowards. Even in the middle of a huge to-do about islam and France that started with a teacher being beheaded by a muslim for the “crime” of fostering a discussion about islam and the sacrosanctity of Muhammad and now includes a boycott of French products throughout the Muslim world, the Editors at Charlie Hebdo have continued to lampoon Muslims and islam. Their latest cover takes aim at Recip Erdogan, the strongman Turkish leader. The image shows Erdogan drinking a beer and lifting the aybaya of a muslim woman, exposing her bare ass.
While I applaud the Editors decisions, I can’t help but think this is going to end badly.
