Probe of Biden’s Son Places New Scrutiny on Attorney General Pick

With the revelation of the investigation of Hunter Biden’s taxes, etc., Biden’s choice for Attorney General is going to under a great deal of scrutiny.
Biden has been critical of AG Barr. He accused Barr of politicizing the department and being overly loyal to Trump and his agenda, and pledged he would restore its traditional independence from the White House. (Does he mean like Eric Holder’s independence?)
Just last week in a CNN interview last week, he restated that promise. He said:
“I’m not going to be telling them what they have to do and don’t have to do,” Biden said. “I’m not going to be saying go prosecute A, B or C – I’m not going to be telling them. That’s not the role, it’s not my Justice Department, it’s the people’s Justice Department.”
Of course, he will not “be telling them what they have to do”. He will have someone on his staff tell them.
