Off the cuff stuff

As you can see, I really do need to go fishing, that being said, sips coffee out here watching the sun rise, thinking people may have the wrong idea about us lucky few who lives in God’s country, sips coffee. It’s Saturday so some fun is needed, I know I know, fun is defined differently for those not living in God’s country and we’ll forgive you straight away for that. In these woods you’ll find Finnish folks, thing about Finns they like fun, I’ll explain. Some years ago one of them of deployed to the sandbox, Conrad got an idea about having a party at his place, everyone was on board with the idea. That’s Conrad’s place , nice shack as far as shacks go, Some buddies digging out the ice, no not for keeping the beer cold, no, kinda like a swimming hole.

Not much swimming took place, just some beer drinking and standing around

Just so ya know, around here it’s socially acceptable to sauna naked with cold beer

With drinking, there’s a lot of relief needed as you know

You’re looking at a lot vets having fun for the one isn’t, that’s not why I shared those old pictures, something the Finnish folks have that you see every day demonstrated by President Trump, it’s called SISU

a short translation

translated as stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, gritbraveryresilience, and hardiness. It is held by Finns to express their national character. It is generally considered not to have a single-word literal equivalent in English (tenacity, grit, resilience, and hardiness are much the same things.

Never quit is even a shorter translation.

I post this clip in the vein of Rambo, Mad Max and John Wick for seeing SISU in action
