Today’s art selection is The Scream by Edvard Munch.
Here are a few facts about it. First, there are several versions of the Scream. At least two paintings, several drawings and lithographs exist, all with minor differences. The version above, tempura and oil on paper, was stolen from the National Gallery in Oslo in 1994. The other painting, housed at the Munch museum was stolen in 2004. Both remained missing until 2006, when they were both recovered.
