RFK Jr Confirmed as HHS Secretary
The Senate voted to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr as Health and Human Services Secretary today. The vote was 52-48, with Mitch McConnell being the lone Republican no once again.
Kennedy, a life-long democrat, is part of the Make America Healthy Again movement. He is also something of a vaccine skeptic.
In related news, Kash Patel, the nominee for FBI Director, was passed out of committee on a party line vote. Senator Mike Lee of Utah said Patel will get the full Senate vote as soon as Senate rules allow.
