The College of Cardinals have selected the 267th Pope. White smoke can be seen rising from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican.

The name of the successor of Saint Peter has yet to be announced. Stay tuned to this page for updates.

UPDATED

The next Pontiff has been named. He is Pope Leo XIV, born as Robert Francis Prevost.

From the bit of research I’ve done, it seems Leo is a bit left of center, but not as far left as his predecessor.
