Someone in Australia paid Kamala Harris $250,000 for a one hour interview. It went about how you would expect. Word salad sandwiches and lack of self awareness.
You would have to pay me to listen to her speak. And I’m not sure $250,000 would be enough.
For the first time since 1941, German tanks were seen in Cathedral Square in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. Unlike the last time, they were invited as part of a mutual defense treaty that was signed in the wake of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
The Germans have committed to having 105 Panzer IIa6 tanks based in Lithuania as part of the 45 Brigade. That represents about 35% of the total German tank force. The full brigade will have about 5,000 troops and a couple of hundred more civilian maintainers.

You all know my opinion on the ongoing, unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine. I make no bones about the fact that I hope Russia suffers the most ignominious defeat possible for what amounts to a gas station with nukes could suffer. I rarely offer ill-wishes to anyone, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is an exception. I hope he does a painful and protracted death.
Anyway, on to the newsworthy part of this. It seems that President Trump is finally waking up to the fact that Putin doesn’t give a fuck about anything Trump says or wants. While I don’t agree with much of what is in the following statement from Trump – I’ll get into that in a minute – I do think it shows that he is finally realizing what a lot of other people have known for a long time.
Now that you’ve seen it, let’s parse the statement a bit shall we? Let’s skip the first couple of sentences, they are and have been manifestly true for a while even if it’s just becoming clear to Trump now.
When Trump says that Putin wants all of Ukraine and that Trump has been saying it all along, he’s gaslighting you. At no point, and I’ve been following this whole thing very closely since the buildup started 6 months before the invasion, has Trump said anything like that.
As far as what he says about Zelenskyy, that’s like his opinion man. Nothing Zelenskyy has said recently is in any way out of line. In fact, he’s gone out of his way to be conciliatory and has tried very hard to make a deal for a ceasefire that will not give Russia territory it has no claim to.
Finally, this war belongs to one person alone. Vladimir Putin. Zelenskyy merely had the misfortune of being Ukraine’s president when Putin’s armies crossed the borders.
I really do not believe that had Trump been reelected in 2020 this war wouldn’t have happened. Trump was so weakened and would have been tied up in so much nonsense he wouldn’t have done anything different that Biden on that topic. In fact, it might have been worse given the 2nd impeachment was related to Ukraine. I would point out the fact that the bulk of Russian troop movements prior to the invasion occurred while Trump was still President.
On a sad note, Phil Robertson, founder of the Duck Commander brand of waterfowl calls and Patriarch of the family made famous in Duck Dynasty has passed.
Robertson was reportedly battling Alzheimer’s disease. Phil Robertson was 78.
