Random News and Notes 9 June

I covered large parts of the riots in Los Angeles since they started. I am only going to drop a couple of stories about them here today. Let’s start with a picture perfect tackle. In the video below we see an NFL linebacker-class tackle from an LAPD officer. The scooter rider executed a flawless FAFO equation: he f*cked around and found out.

The media and politicians continue their gas-lighting about the riots. LA mayor Karen Bass has repeatedly backed the rioters and Governor Hair Gel wants control of the Cali NG back after Trump federalized it. The LAPD issued an absolutely insane statement over the weekend saying there were not any riots. That may have been true for the areas of LA county patrolled by the LAPD, but it was not in the areas covered by the LASD.

Maxine Waters tried to access a federal detention center yesterday. It did not go the way she expected it to.

Whoever is manning the door just looks at her and says ‘the building is secured against all visitors’ and slams the door in her face. Priceless.

Moving on from the riots. For now anyway.

The good ship Climate Dumbasses err Madleen – you remember the one that was carrying Greta Thunberg and her friends to Gaza – was intercepted and seized by the IDF this morning.

It is being reported that the IDF is making Greta and her comrades watch footage of 10/7 while they are being processed for deportation. No word on what is going to happen to the vessel or the 100 kg of aid they brought with them.

BALTOPS 25 kicked off over the weekend. The NATO training exercise happens about this time each year. This year’s participants,  Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and the United States, began the 54th iteration of Baltic Operations, or BALTOPS 25 with more than 40 ships, 25 aircraft and approximately 9,000 personnel.

This year’s exercise concentrated on de-mining and unmanned vehicle operations.

One more quick riot related note. An account on Twitter dedicated to providing locations of ICE and other federal law enforcement personnel, LA Scanner, got themselves doxxed and are now playing the victim.

The account owners name among other personally identifying details have been posted on Twitter. We do not do that here, but a quick search on Twitter would give you the relevant results.

Special interest groups successfully pressured the Parks Service to remove the fencing around DuPont Circle in DC ahead of a gay pride event.

The results? A shooting and two stabbings.

While there is no indication the freaks were doing the shooting or the stabbing, the incident is instructive. Since the violence, the same mid-wits that demanded the fences come down are now whinging about the lack of security.

I for one am tired of that shite. You got what you wanted, deal with it.
