Happy 5th Birthday MVAP
Today marks the 5th anniversary of your favorite site on the web, MilVets and Patriots. Our official launch was made with this post, all the way back in the year 2000.
Yeah, we had done a couple of days worth of posts prior to that introductory post, but we hadn’t started tagging folks yet. Those first 12 posts were a sort of soft open for the site. We were still working out the bugs and getting everything nailed down.
A lot has happened since we launched. Covid has come and gone. Authors and community members have come and gone, some missed, some less so. One of the worst Presidents in American history has come and gone. One of the Best Presidents has gone, spent some time in the Wilderness, and Returned. Wars have started. Wars have ended.
Yet, here we are. Still standing, still writing, still publishing. Thank you for taking this journey with us. We appreciate you Dear Constant Reader, we wouldn’t be here without you.
And now a word from the better looking and more intelligent Publisher . . .
We wish you a very happy and joyful July 4th. We are still the greatest nation on earth, despite the series of wrong turns that have been made along the way. Things are definitely looking up, and hope you stick with us on the course-corrected road ahead! RU
