Random News and Notes 30 July
We start in Connecticut where at State Rep, Raghib Allie-Brennan, finds himself in trouble with the law. Ol’ Raghib is facing felony charges from shoplifting.
“This week I continued the process of cooperating fully and taking accountability for my past actions,” Allie-Brennan said in a statement. “I voluntarily reported to the Bethel Police Department on a date prearranged with my attorney and the chief of police. This was another step in the legal process, which I am following. I take full responsibility and remain focused on moving forward and making this right.”
HAHAHAHA
I missed another important anniversary yesterday. 29 July marked the 250th year of the US Army Chaplains Corps.
Thanks for all the support and spiritual healing over the years Padres.
A very strong earthquake hit off the coast of Far Eastern Russia last night. The 8.7 quake is one of the largest recorded in the past few decades. It immediately prompted tsunami warnings across the Pacific basin.
The tsunami wave hit Maui with a 2 foot wave height. It pushed several vessels onto the shore. At the time of writing, warnings and watches are still active for the California coast.
Two Tier Kier Starmer, the British PM, has said the UK would recognize a ‘Palestinian State’ if a ceasefire agreement was not reached. This comes days after the President of the cheese eating surrender monkeys France, Emmanuel Macron said his country would recognize a terror state.
The issue is that the Israelis have already agreed to a ceasefire. Several times. The only ones holding up a path to peace are the inbred goat f*ckers in Hamas. These retarded declarations only do one thing; embolden Hamas to keep up the fighting.
Then there is the timing. Both countries are in the middle of trade negotiations with the US. I mean, the times when England and the rest of the UK was a global influence are long gone, not to return, so I don’t know what this will do other than piss off Trump and Rubio.
We’re staying with the Israeli/Hamas war for this next one. The NY Times published a piece about starvation and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip the other day. The fish wrap of record went out of it’s way to portray the story in a light most sympathetic to the Gaza Arabs. In fact this was the front page:

Hearbreaking no? Too bad it isn’t what the Times portrayed it as.
Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, the child in that photo, isn’t suffering from malnutrition. Young Mohammed is instead suffering from, among other things – the list is extensive – cerebral palsy hypoxemia, and was born with a serious genetic disorder. I would expect the genetic disorder given the consanguinity rate in Gaza is among the highest in the world.
The blowback was quick and severe. The Times was forced to issue a correction. Too bad they used an alt account and not their main one.
It seems to me that the authors and editors that worked on the piece should have figured out what was what before publishing. It’s not like the info wasn’t commonly available. The mother was on CNN talking about little Mo in the days before the article ran. By the way, the other boy in the image above is Mohammed’s brother. Looks pretty well fed to me, and that is probably why the Times cropped him out of all the photos they used in the story.
The current White House/Trump SocMed team is killing it. This is their latest:
For those not as in tune with the current trends on social media, the song/ad playing is being used in a ton of short vids, usually of something less than pleasant. Here are a couple of examples:
Needless to say the response from the left has been histrionic.
