Our first few stories are going to be from Texas. We start in Alvarado. An Alvarado cop was responding to a suspicious persons call outside of the ICE Prairieland Detention Facility in Johnson County. He was ambushed and shot in the neck by armed and armored assailants.

The officer, fortunately was treated and released. It seems this situation is similar to the one that occurred in Idaho the other day. The people involved here lured the cops into an ambush by vandalizing vehicles and setting off fireworks.
The situation in Kerr County Texas doesn’t get any better. There are still 27 girls missing from Camp Mystic. Who knows how many are still missing from the flooding in general. The President has declared a major disaster for Kerr county and the areas affected by the flooding.
The disaster declaration allows the immediate deployment of federal resources to the area.
While your editor does a piece about charitable giving most springs, he rarely if ever makes calls for charity for specific events. This time is different. If you feel moved to donate, the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country is a highly reputable organization that is there in Kerr county. They have a place to donate for flood relief set up HERE. All donations to that fund will be used for flood relief in the communities of Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort.
This is a time lapse of the flooding in Texas. The video condenses about an hour’s worth of footage to about a minute. Keep an eye on the folks on the far side of the bridge.
Remember, this is the Llano river and not the Guadalupe. The Guadalupe rose 26 feet or more in 45 minutes. This one looks like it was about 10-15 feet total.
The Air Force intercepted a civilian aircraft over New Jersey yesterday after it entered restricted airspace. It was the 4th incursion into the TFR area that day. The flight restrictions were in place as President Trump is at his Bedminster, NJ resort.
TFR are a thing. So are NOTAMS. If you are a pilot, it behooves you to check them before you start flight planning. The pilot who got intercepted is probably going to lose his ticket.
